My mother is in Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation, LLC. The reason I chose this is that my boss's mother had been there. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. If I've had a concern or whatever, they've always addressed it. They don't have a whole lot that mom can do. She would need somebody to come down and tell her that they're doing something and I don't think they're doing that. She's only been there two weeks and maybe they're not aware of that. The layout and setup are fine. From where she's at, it's easily accessible to what she needs. They accept Medicaid and Medicare. They have an activity room, which is the same place where they eat. They change it to an activity room when they're not eating. They've got a couple of restaurants right around the corner.

My mom moved into Scenic Nursing & Rehab Center. I'm very impressed. They are very caring and solicitous. It's very clean and quiet. It's not screaming televisions everywhere. They have activities three times a day. It varies from bingo to Wii games. My mom is in a shared room, and it is bright and cheerful. It's not huge, but there's room enough for her to have her own dresser if she wants it. There was a small bedside table, but there was a shelf in there. There's plenty of wall space for me to put pictures because my mother was an artist. So she'll be able to have a couple of her paintings that are there. It's going to be intimate. There's plenty of room for her to maneuver around in a small wheelchair and then to get in and out of the hallway. Their admissions staff was wonderful. My husband was blown away. They were wonderful with my mom and ever so gentle in getting her out of the car, getting her in there, and getting her settled. It's a 170-bed facility, but it feels intimate. The hallway was painted bright turquoise blue, and it was cheerful. The staff has been terrific, like when answering the phone and going through their COVID procedures when you're coming in. They've got a small, pretty, little garden area. It sits up on a hill. It looks like they've got a lot of activities for them to do.

We moved my mother to Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and it's been fantastic. They've been taking really good care of her. They have been taking wonderful care of her. They are very affectionate and loving, the facility is very homey. She's in memory care, so they have activities for different cognitive levels, but she's not able to do it. They get her up in a chair, and they sit her in an atrium with skylights that looks out onto the woods. They have bird feeders and squirrel feeders, so for the residents that can't participate, they can at least watch nature. She's in the memory care unit, which is separate from skilled nursing. They have a psychiatrist and a doctor that comes on-site. They have a beautician, but it's been scaled back because of Covid. I got to feed her dinner, and it looked fantastic. I didn't eat any of it, but it looked great. They have meal supplements when they don't, eat a meal, or they give them like a protein shake. She had a protein shake because she doesn't eat a whole lot, but she did eat a little. It was a balanced meal, it had meat and vegetables. They have memory care segregated separately from the regular. They've got an alarm door, where you have to have a passcode to get in and out, and it's really good.

They have very friendly staff. My mom has been a resident here for a few years now and I would not pick another place. Room is always clean and management team is very responsive.

Scenic is an old place. The nurses, aides, and administrators impressed me there. They’re very nice, friendly, and they take good care of my husband. The room is very nice and always very clean. The dining room is small and only for people in his condition, but the food is horrible.
