The best part about Garden Villas North was the fact that they have apartments available for rent for out-of-town visitors and their physical proximity. I can walk through a couple of subdivisions and get there from my own house. I don't have to drive there. Regarding cleanliness, there were no visible signs of dust anywhere. Everything seemed to be clean. There were no bad odors. It seemed very nice and very well cared for. The room sizes were very good. We did not look at any of their two-bedroom places as my loved one would not like a roommate and he does not need a second bedroom. But I thought the sizes were very comparable to other places I've seen. It did not feel institutional. It felt very, very comfortable and very welcoming. They're very focused on making it pleasant for both residents and their guests.

My mom moved to Garden Villas North. She is doing great. She is relaxed and comfortable. She made friends and got into some activities she didn't do for a while. The staff is friendly, kind, and thoughtful. The food is good and they have a good variety. My mom likes the alternative in case there's a menu item that she doesn't care for. It's good quality and they have a healthy option. Some of it is a little bland for me because I'm not 80. They have activities all the time. Every day they have physical activities, social activities, and they have happy hour. They go on a little excursion to local businesses and restaurants. They have special events like Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Veteran's Day.

Garden Villas North was clean, it was friendly, and it had the socialization that I was looking for at the time. The staff was very friendly, very nice, and warm. It just seemed like a good place to be. I had actually been there before because a friend's mom was there, so I was familiar with the place. The room size was great. It's a nice place.

I thought Garden Villas North was a very lovely place. It's very pristine. The apartments were very nice. It's just a good place, and I had a good feeling about it. The person who toured us was very knowledgeable, very personable, and understanding. It's near where I live and not far from where my sister-in-law lives. And it would be a great place for her if she's willing to finally give in to this, but she's not there yet. The dining area was very nice. Everything was just perfect there. It was very clean. It provided the opportunity to interact with other people, unlike being at home inside most of the time. The staff member who toured us was great. She was very friendly and informative. She made a good impression.

My father was familiar with Garden Villas North because his wife was at the nursing home there, and he had a couple of guy friends that also had wives over there. The rooms were nice and well set up and would fit his stuff. I think somebody was moving out, so it was not furnished when we went in. They were like in transition, but it was a functional space for him. The grounds were nice. Unfortunately, the entire area was like surrounded by a parking lot, but there were trees beyond. The insides were nice, very bright, and cheery. We did have lunch there that was good. My father saw one of the guys when we were eating come in from one of their day trips, and talked to him for a little bit. They have a happy hour every afternoon. Dad likes that because he's a social guy. They were doing a little bit of updating and I think they were adding on an area. They were kind of shutting down one area to accommodate some priests, but that was all under construction while we were there. We didn't get to see any of that.

My sister moved into Garden Villas North, and I think she's doing very well. The personnel is very helpful and friendly. The person administrator, Patty, helped get us started, and I think my sister kind of fell for her hospitality too because it's so open and friendly. There's no overcrowding, there's plenty of space. It's very colorful. The personnel is fantastic and it's what my sister wanted when she was asking for a place. She wanted a little balcony and that's what we found. She wanted a little area where she could do some little cooking in the kitchen, and have her own bathroom. All those things that she asked us to try to find for her were in this place. Everyone is friendly. She has the kind of service that she needs for people to tend to her needs. This is a very welcoming place to be. There's plenty of room in her area. They have a little pool area. They have activities for exercise, for those who are in a ministry that wants to have prayer or some kind of religious activities. My sister loves the meals. They have a setting to make you feel important to make you feel like you're welcome to eat. New utensils and everything, and even if she chooses not to eat in a wide-open space with other people, she could eat in the privacy of her own room and they'll bring it up to her with the same hospitality, the knives and napkins, and utensils.
