My godmother moved into Delmar Gardens North. The food was delicious. They let us sit and eat dinner with the people there. They were waiting for us to get there. All the staff were very nice. The facility was clean and up-to-date.

My mom has been there less than 20 days and I will be transferring her immediately to somewhere else. The room are plain and grubby. Some have TV remotes some don't. Tylenol took 3 or more hour to get. They have changed her room 3 time in less than 10 days. This last time she was left in the hall most of the day along with another lady. She is there for PT but they rarely get her out of bed for it. They don't have portable O2 tanks so she can attend PT, activities or eat in the dining room. I have worked in this type of establishment and this is the worst i have seen.

My family member was there for rehab. His therapist rarely shows. There is a carpet in his room (which is a fall hazard so shouldn’t be there) but besides that the only other piece of furniture is a bed. So he has no light, no dresser, no tv. This place leaves so much to be desired

Delmar Gardens North looks like there's a lot of things that are out there just for show. I don't know if the staff is fully staffed. It feels like the place is good to walk into and when you take the tour, it's all fancy and stuff, but I've always heard they're short-staffed all the time. The safety of their residents should be a top priority for the amount of money that you pay there. Other than the front door, it's hard to find a staff member so I just wonder what the residents are doing if they need somebody. It's a nursing home and they have very nice accommodations, they have the dining room, the indoor pool, and the outdoor pool. However, when I went to tour it, nobody was there. It's like they spent their money on the wrong things and now the residents are paying the price when they should have been put on the staff. So, one should just be careful when a place looks fancy, it doesn't necessarily mean that the care is at 100%. They also didn't have the medical alert bracelets so with them being understaffed, how well can they be checking on their residents.

I toured Delmar Gardens North for my mother. It seemed like there were no people out anywhere, and the people that were out are by themselves. There wasn't any kind of real activity going on. It seemed like the dementia units, the skilled nursing area was kind of in chaos and dry. It wouldn't make you happy putting your parent there. I think they're spending the money more on the looks of the place than the actual production or the value of the place. It looks very nice on the outside. They charge a lot of money on the people who live there, but as far as looks go, it would get somebody interested. The general area where people are in look good and clean, but the dementia care and skilled nursing area had a lot to be desired.
