I came to Ignite after a bad fall this winter and it was everything I could of hoped for. The staff was amazing, the food was good, and I really enjoyed the daily activities and the Starbucks they have in the facility. My room was cleaned everyday by a wonderful girl named Melissa and she was so nice talking to me. Melanie the therapist was great and helped me so much. I hope I never have to come back but for anyone looking for a great rehab stay, Ignite is the best.

Could be cleaner, food either forgotten to deliver or items missing from tray When calling for a nurse it takes 15 minutes to arrive Lab results were never informed, when asked they say lab refused results due to no lab request, In the meantime no help was given for UTI. Some employees seemed they would rather be elsewhere and put out when asked for clean towels to shower. the bathroom was shared, when help was given to another patient, feces were left on the sink!!!! My nurse was nice.

I've been trying to get my sister a Covid shot here for months with no success. Lately no response either. Imagine a building full of highly vulnerable residents who can't get a widely available vaccine in a pandemic!

Just checked our father out from the Ignite Facility in Blue Springs, MO. This place is awful. Many on the staff are rude. We observed staff being mean to patients. The facility is out of date. The ownership is not reinvesting in this facility. Very outdated. We do not recommend this place to anyone.”

When my father was a patient his room was dirty, he was not regularly bathed, when he pushed his call button no one responded and when I went to the desk to ask for help the providers were rude and covered their name tags. My dad was injured there due to the incompetence of the caregivers and had to have a very painful surgery. The doctors at the hospital who had worked with him before he was admitted to Ignite said he was in much worse shape after being in rehab than he was when he went in. I have spoken with other people who got their family members out of there, I also spoke with former caregivers who left to work elsewhere because they couldn’t stand to see the patients treated like they are and spoke with some ambulance personnel who said they picked up more people with injuries there than any other nursing home in the area. My dad’s belongings were also stolen and I was given a $25 gift card to replace all his clothing, an unopened box of Russell Stovers candy and most of his underwear. $25 wouldn’t cover all that if I went to a thrift store! The girl who injured my dad laughed and said “oops, I always forget to move the urine bag from the wheelchair.” That little oops caused the catheter to be ripped out and my dad was screaming with pain. Then they didn’t want to call an ambulance because an RN would be there “in an hour.” The treatment was horrible and when I asked for a refund they actually got very rude with me. There was nothing luxurious or spa-like for my dad or for many others there. I wouldn’t take a stray animal and leave it there. There was a couple of providers that actually cared about the patients, but they couldn’t keep up with all the work caused by so many of the other providers who just sat around cutting up or texting or playing games on their computers.

My father was admitted, directly from the hospital after a fall, at 12:30 in the afternoon. They deposited him in his room chair and left him there for over 8 hours. He was either yelled at or completely ignored when he pushed the call button to ask for help to bathroom and medical attention. They didn’t give one iota if he was ok or not. I tried calling several times and either got no answer or yelled at as well. I mean, they seriously screamed at both of us. I couldn’t believe the treatment, or lack thereof! The facility itself looked nice but reeked of urine in the halls outside the rooms. I got my dad out of there the day after he was admitted so I can’t tell you how the rehab part is. They never came in to assess him.

They lie to you to get you in. Such as saying you'll be checked on every 2 hours. Not true, not close. Getting consistant hygiene care, diapers changes etc, doesn't happen. Rehab is poor especially if you have any serious issues like a stroke. And of course weekends were especially under staffed. If you come from a hospital and they tell you your to weak for inpatient rehab, fight for it anyway, don't go to a skilled nursing facility like ignite.

Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs was initially helpful, but once we got my mother placed there in rehab, the staff totally ignored her. She couldn't even get a Tylenol. She couldn't get people to respond to anything that she needed. The front desk staff just acted like they had no idea what was going on and how to help them. It was a clean place, but that was about it. They had some activities, but it was not resident-age appropriate. Amenities were pretty good. They had a nice facility for rehab. There was a Starbucks, places to go to sit, and a courtyard that was nice. They just have to have staff that are attentive to the resident's needs.

If you hate your family member, this is the place to send them. If the family member is totally restricted to bed it will be a horrible experience for them, particularly during the night shift. The call light will be ignored and your loved one will end up laying in their urine all night. Once they can get up and use the bathroom on their own it is better. The nurses are okay as are the therapists and one guy named Nathan in the kitchen, The food is horrible! I guess breakfast is satisfactory but for the most part, I wouldn't feed it to pigs as slop. Today was Easter and you would think they would prepare an appropriate Easter meal - but no! (I have pics) It was dried-out mystery meat, overcooked rice, canned green beans and apricot, and a dry roll. They could buy prepackaged and canned food that is of better quality. I am in the foodservice business and I would be ashamed to serve this food. The presentation is terrible too! This is supposed to be a LUXURY REHABILITATION RESORT and it is anything but.

My mother-in-law is in Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs for rehab. They just opened this facility. They seem to be doing pretty good work, she seems to be recovering significantly, presumably they're doing their job, but specifics about the place, I really couldn't say. She's one of the first two residents out there. I looked at her from outside her room through the window. The staff seemed to be pretty enthusiastic and conscientious about things, they seem to be making some pretty good progress with her. It's close to her house, close to her doctor, and all that. It looks like they've got everything you would want.

I'm in rehab right now at Ignite Medical Resort Blue Springs. The therapy is great, the meals are very good, the rooms are spacious, and the staff is good. They have bingo, dominoes, live music, and today is parlor day.
