My brother moved into One Magnolia Place. The pricing was better than at the other place. It was more of a peaceful-looking place. Instead of it being like a hospital with a hallway and rooms, they had multiple buildings connected by walkways. They had a lot of glass where you could see the outside. The two staff members that I met were very nice. My brother has physical rehab that he goes to every day. He goes to the main lunch room with all the other people that are in there. I think there are 32 patients in the whole place, so it's a small group. The only problem I see with the facility is that there are a bunch of ramps on multiple levels. It makes it difficult for my brother to just roll around from one place to another. He has to have assistance to get up the ramps in his wheelchair, but other than that everything's fine. It's about a ten-minute ride to the hospital, and there are restaurants within five minutes of where he's staying.

I went to One Magnolia Place. The staff was very friendly and very pleasant to show us around. The place is a dump. It has plaster missing from the walls and the carpets are filthy. It's dark and grungy-looking. People were sitting in a room with nothing to do. Their room is small and dirty. I wouldn't send anybody there.

One Magnolia Place has advantages and disadvantages. It is an older facility. The whole facility is dated, and it needs to be updated. The staff who gave the tour was great though. She answered all the questions, and she showed us around the facility. She showed us different activities and stuff. She did a good job. They showed us the dining room area, and it was open and nice. For activities, they were doing bingo while we were there.

One Magnolia Place was smaller. I liked it, but it didn't have a calendar of events. It was a very nice place, like country living, if you want to be private. They showed me a one-bedroom. They didn't have any kitchenettes in them. They had a dining room and then they had a living room. When we were there, they had somebody that came and they were singing and playing guitar. There were only maybe a handful of residents that came out and looked. It didn't have as much as the other facility that I visited did but it's a historic place because it used to be a hotel and it just got converted and they were all so friendly.

I was very impressed with Magnolia Place. It's very festive because it's Christmastime. Everything was immaculate. The staff was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very understanding. They had a movie playing in the theater, and I noticed that there were some people in the movie theater, and then obviously the restaurant was very busy because I think it was right around lunchtime. There was a lot of people eating and it was very spacious. I liked their layout. It was in a box shape. If my mom was to get confused about where her apartment was, you're just walking in a circle. She would eventually come back to where her room was. I liked that idea. The layout was very simplistic and to me, it would be easier for people to find where they needed to go just because it's a square.

I toured at One Magnolia Place. The staff was very helpful. The tour was very educational. It's a really nice setting, but I don't feel it's a good fit for our needs. For the overall tour, they were extremely nice and willing to help families. They go above and beyond what most expectations are. The room that they wanted to put my husband in was very spacious. It was almost like a studio apartment. It's a pretty good size for an elderly person. They furnish everything like a refrigerator, a bed, and dressers. The administrator was just as sweet as can be. From what I understand, as far as the menu is concerned, they accommodate what the patients want, and they incorporate that into their daily meals. They provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack.

My visit to One Magnolia Place was good. The staff was very friendly. The grounds were nice, but it was a little bit older. They had a pond, and it was out in a wooded area. The rooms were decent and carpeted, which some people may not like. They could provide some furniture, if they needed it. The atmosphere was peaceful. There was a group of ladies playing cards in the activity room with the staff. The staff was very nice. The facility seemed to be clean. It was a little bit older, so some things weren't working.

My mother is at One Magnolia Place. It's very good. She has a full apartment, a really large formal room with a big-screen TV, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a little kitchen area. It's almost like a little one-bedroom apartment. It's a lot different than most of the places that I looked at, which were more like one room and a bathroom. It's very roomy. They have three guys who do the cooking, and the food is great. I've eaten there several times with my mom. They cook a really big breakfast every morning. Sometimes they have soup, snacks, and sandwiches. Almost every day there's one big meal, a big breakfast, and then another smaller meal. They've got beautiful grounds surrounded by lakes and peacocks and ducks. There's a real nice ambience about the place. The people are great. My mom's doctor gives the owner really high marks. The people there have been really friendly. I could not be happier.

One Magnolia Place is excellent, and the care is excellent. We're very pleased with it. Visiting hours are any time we want to come. Everything's fine, and she's very happy.

One Magnolia Place is very nice. It was not that big and it had a little pond. They have a big dining room. Their apartments were nice. They are not that big with one bedroom and a little living room. I did not see any kitchen in the rooms or any stove.

My mother moved into One Magnolia Place before, but I moved her out because she fell twice in a two-day span and they never called to tell me. When I found out four days later, she'd broken her rib. They need to call family members when an elderly person falls. I can't believe my mom went four days with a broken rib and I did not know about it, and I live two minutes away from her. It was totally unacceptable, so after five days I pulled her out of there. I tried to communicate five different times with the director, and she never talked to me. I would never tell anybody to go to One Magnolia.

One Magnolia Place was nice. The facilities were nice, the rooms were comfortable, and they had a nice dining room. There was a lot of friendly people and an outdoor feel to it, which we liked. It was very pleasant, but it cost more than what we got. For my mother's purposes, it would cost us about $3,250 to $3,550 a month.
