I’ve toured several senior living center over the past 5 years. Trying to get my parents to move to a facility. My dad passed away in February so mom had to go some place safe, some place she’d be taken care of 24/7. Meadow Lakes always stood out as number one choice. We moved her there in March. Yes a big adjustment. They say it takes 3 or more months to get used to AL. It only took 2 weeks for mom. Her apartment is adorable. New carpet (every move in gets new carpet). Apartment setting. I’d move there! She loves the staff. She’s well taken care of 24/7 as she has a fob for help/any kind of assistance. She is not charged for using the fob. She gets her hair done every Monday. Her apartment is cleaned every week, laundry done once a week. Bedding changed once a week. Food looks awesome to me. She’s so/so on the food but keep in mind, she eats very little. Mom enjoys the music in the dining room. She’s not big on activities but they have plenty of activities. Staff is wonderful! Residents become family. I am not worried 24/7 if she’s ok as I know she is well taken care of. I’d look no further than Meadow Lakes!!!

We like Meadow Lakes Senior Living. We liked the director who showed us around. They have memory care and assisted living there. So I like the fact that you could go into assisted living and transition to memory care if needed. Their memory care was a small number of units. The dining room for memory care was very small, although they only had 16 memory care units. Otherwise, we like the view. My mother would have had a room that faces the woods. We like the layout of the assisted living apartment. It's a little bit older of a place than some of the other ones. It's not new, but it's clean.

My brother is at Meadow Lakes. He likes it very well and he's very pleased. He's been very well taken care of and the nursing care has been excellent. The staff has been very helpful, as far as I can tell. He's been very happy with them. He really enjoys living there and likes the people there. He also likes the food. He's very happy with it. For activities, I know he's been at bingo and, as he said, they have something going on all the time. I don't know if he was able to go to all of them because he has a lot of problems with his leg, but with what he has done, I think he's enjoyed it. I don't think everything is open yet because of the COVID. It's a very nice area. The surroundings are very peaceful and quiet.

I am moving my parents next week to Meadow Lakes Senior Living. We chose this community because my mom wanted to be closer to me; it's in the town where I live. It's a great layout. It's more of an apartment type setting than it is. Where they all live right now, it's all kind of one room. They've got little hallways, seems like an apartment more than it does, it's just a little area for them to live in. The community is so nice. It's kinda on the outside of town. It's more of a country setting, so they really like it. I met the staff and they were very helpful, kind, and considerate. The rooms were neat and clean. I just met them today, they all seemed very helpful.

My parents moved into Meadow Lakes Senior Living. It's very well kept. The staff is very accommodating and very friendly. I like the atmosphere and the smallness of it. They have quite a few activities like Bingo, puzzles, movie nights, and they hold church there. The dining area is very nicely laid out and very inviting. The food is good. The layout of the facility is good, but the room size is a little bit small.

We visited Meadow Lakes for my wife. I thought the staff was very good. I thought they were very committed to their residents. They have a very accommodating administration. They were willing to work with me as far as placement. It was a good place. The rooms were not large -- at least the ones we looked at -- but they met our needs at that time, and as I said, the staff was very accommodating; they were willing to work with us to get placement, which I thought was wonderful. Their dining area was more than adequate. I didn't eat there, but the food appeared to be good. It looked like good portion and good quality from what I could see. Ten years from now, maybe I'll look at that, but now, no.

Meadow Lakes would have been my number one pick out of the three places that I visited. It was a little larger than the one in Eyota -- too bad I wasn’t quite happy with it. However, they had a lot more activities for people and they employed outside help for their assisted living residents. Their main concern was their residents. Depending on what you need, you could contact the outside agency too, but it sounded like it would be the last resort. Even if they needed hospice care, the hospice care would come directly to them. The staff was great. They seemed to know everybody’s names. The rooms were awesome and large, almost like a small home. There was a separate bedroom and the kitchen and dining area was open. However, you could separate them if you so choose. Everything there looked great. The menu looks very nutritious with quite a bit of variety. The residents were eating the day that I went there and everyone seemed to really enjoy a sense of camaraderie as well as the food. They would take them out on buses to go fishing if they wanted. They had singing, Bingo, Wii, movie days and lots of activities. I would highly recommend this facility.

From my experience in visiting this facility, I give it five stars. The facility is very well maintained and cleaned. I have eaten several meals in the dining room and they have always been very well prepared and tasty. They fulfill the daily requirements for healthy meals. The staff is always very friendly and always calls the residents by their first names. The only negative that I can comment on about the facility is the maintenance of their outside landscaping. They originally planted apple trees for the landscaping, but they are not taken care of and only make a mess when the apples ripen and fall off. The last several years they have not been sprayed or maintained to produce useable fruit.

Overall ii thought this assisted living facility was alright. The people that worked there we friendly and always willing to help. They knew what people needed help with instantly and were there to do anything they could. I would say that the staff was the number one thing i liked about the facility. Also the landscape is beautiful and the facility has a lot to do. Everything from board games to laying outside in the sun. You can do just about anything. Also Rochester Minnesota is a great place. It as an upscale city with lots of doctors that work at the mayo clinic. I guess another plus is that the mayo clinic is co close. If anyone had a health related problem one of the best hospitals is near by. The thing i did not like about the facility is that it seemed a little out dated. not everything looked new, and some of the tv's and such were old tube tv's.

While in Rochester visiting the Mayo Clinic, we decided to stop in and check out the Meadow Lakes Senior Living assisted living facility for our aunt. She is a regular patient at Mayo Clinic, so we wanted to find a place for her to live in the area. Given that it is just five minutes away, this would be an ideal location for her. The grounds were beautiful - right across from Meadow Lakes Golf Course. It was peaceful and quiet, far from the noise of the city. But the Apache Mall and downtown areas are also easy to get to, which we were told many of the residents visit frequently. There is even a convenient shuttle service. The grounds also feature gardens, birds and geese in the pond. There are also deer in the area. We saw residents walking the paths, playing golf and enjoying lunch outside. There are several floor plans to choose from in a variety of apartments. The units we saw were all decorated nicely and seemed easy to navigate. There were full kitchens and guest meals were available in the dining room. The casual dining areas adjacent to the main room were spacious. The food we saw looked delicious and we could see that the residents enjoyed it. They offer snacks at all times of the day and the list we saw looked like it had the healthiest options. There is a small salon and a piano room, in addition to the other community rooms for residents to enjoy. There is even a hotel room for out of town guests. The lounges may be reserved for private functions and parties. We also liked that they also offer a complimentary week stay to see how the community will work for your own specific needs. We really liked all that this facility has to offer - it seems to be the best of both the quiet tranquility of rural living, with the convenience of urban modernization. A very nicely designed, comfortable and safe living environment for seniors - with caring and attentive staff.
