My Mother has been at this residence for over 10 years. She is a easy going resident that gets along with staff and management very well. She enjoys meals in the small dining areas. She is able to get outside and walk around the building or sit out there. Clean, no heavy scents masking odors when you get here and walk around the common areas. Staff is friendlier than most!

My father is in Madonna Meadows of Rochester. The community seemed fine until COVID hit and then there was a high rate of turnover and things became a little bit more unstable as far as staffing and things like that. There's a certain amount of uncertainty and lack of communication. Our interaction with the staff was good. I think my father likes most of the people there. The rooms are good for assisted living. He has a studio. All the meals are in the dining room. During COVID, they did bring the meals to the room. After COVID, they're all kind of coming back. They do bingo. Once in a while, the recreation person will bring in different speakers. They have church. They'll bring in the clergy from the outside. They'll do different services. They'll do Bible study. There's an area where they hold their different bingo and stuff. There's an outside covered seating area by the front entrance.

My mom moved into Madonna Meadows of Rochester. The staff members were very nice, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. They have somebody come in once a week and clean. They have somebody do the garbage every day. They have bingo, music, and trips.

We wanted my parents to go to Madonna Meadows, but we were not able to get them in. The staff looked very pleasant. The facility was very up to date, modern, and clean. They had quite a few activities, exercise places, and a nice beauty salon. It was very pleasant.

Madonna Meadows was a very nice new facility; however, it was quite large. It had lots of different wings they called neighborhoods. However, my mom has a little memory problem and I thought that it would perhaps be too confusing. Their rates were probably the highest of the three that I looked at. There were lots of people outside when I came in and they’re all very happy, social and friendly. The caregivers all seemed to know everyone by name, which was impressive considering how many there were. They seemed very caring and I did talk to the dietician and cook, both of whom have a routine menu. It probably was a very good choice for their food. One of the rooms was quite small. It was more of a hospital room type feel to me. They had a single bed; however, they did have what they call a suite. It was larger and separate, but of course that came with a higher price tag, too. For some reason, I liked the people -- I liked what they had to offer. However, the actual rooms and prices and everything did not appeal to me. They had church services there and that was a big thing. They had exercises classes and a salon. They had games for them, movie days, and they had other groups come in and do things with them as well. They had pretty good activities for them. They were separated into different areas which I’m guessing would be kind of nice as far as getting to know your own neighborhood better. You could probably find somebody to whom your parents could relate.
