My mother moved into New Perspective Prior Lake. The staff has been delightful, extremely helpful, extremely patient, and answered every question we had. We feel very comfortable with her living there. We're just happy that she's going to be settling into a new community. Everybody we've met has been wonderful. She has a one-bedroom apartment. It's very spacious for one person. The rooms are a really nice size. She has a walk-in pantry with a stackable washer and dryer for convenience. It's wonderful. The apartment she got is very bright. It was clean when we moved in. The carpet was clean, the cupboards were clean, and the refrigerator. Everything was really nice and clean, and that was one of her main concerns. No dust in the corners. They have a library, which she loved, with computers and a huge TV with jigsaw puzzles and things like that; that she can do. They have a beauty salon, which is wonderful. We don't have to take her out in the middle of the winter to get her hair done. They have a movie theater, a nice bistro, and a nice cafe where she has her meals. She went down for lunch today. I actually just placed a call to speak to her to see how the food was, and she was not in her apartment, which is really good. She's venturing out. Every week she will get an activity chart. They have bingo. They have a chapel, which is very, very important to her. They have a book club that she can participate in. Every day there's some event that involves you if you want to go. There's plenty for her to do. The value for the money is pretty much the same as every other facility that we looked at. We're really happy with it.

My mother stayed at New Perspective Prior Lake for nine years. She was independent, but they did serve meals, so she had a meal program. They had a bus. The last two years that she was there was COVID and so that kind of changed everything, but up until then, she was satisfied and happy there. The meals would get repetitive in her opinion and they would switch cooks, but overall she liked it. The other residents were very friendly. It was more of an ala carte as far as the amenities and the things that they would give her. The only thing that she used there was their meal plan which was part of the program. She had to have her meals there. She started on ten meals a month and then increased that. She could have picked any of the three meals of the day to go to, but she usually did the noon meal for their main meal. The evening meal was more of a sandwich-type stuff. I think the place changed hands while she was there and some of the policies changed. She was required after a while to go to one meal a day, which is what she was on at the time. During COVID, they would deliver the meals to her apartment, so she kind of lost the sense of community when they couldn't eat together. She did not get COVID, but she was pretty much confined to her apartment and they were very particular, as far as visiting. I had to schedule it in advance and I could only go once a week for half an hour, and I had to wear a mask and glasses. Those last couple of years were pretty tough. She was happy with the apartment itself. It was real pleasant. She had it decorated nice and she did have people come in to clean. She had her own washer and dryer. She was really independent up until the last few months of her life except for the COVID part. It worked out well for her, especially the first few years she was there. She was a lot more active with their community projects. They would have 5K walks and they would go out for lunch once a week on their bus and they would take them to the grocery store and there was no extra charge for those things. I live so close but I see the bus so I know they still have their bus. If she needed light bulbs changed or any kind of maintenance, they were very good about that. They had entertainment coming, singing groups, and people coming in and teaching some kind of a crafts class or something like that. There was a courtyard, and a community room and they would have happy hour and they served wine. Every afternoon, they would have coffee and a snack in their community room. There was a big front porch and they used to sit out on their front porch a lot and my mom enjoyed that. They did do a complete remodeling of the common areas while she was there with a lot of nice artwork and new carpeting and painting. That was probably five years ago or so that they did that. Especially during COVID, they had trouble with staffing, mostly the dining facility, which was frustrating, but that wasn't their fault because they had regulations. They had a turnover of staff and some of them were great, some of them were not. The facility was nice. They had a beauty shop there at the time, but they had to close during COVID, and I don't think they've reopened it. The activities they offered were really good, but she didn't necessarily participate in all of them. From my perspective, everything was great.

New Perspective Prior Lake was great. Sean was the salesperson that helped us and he was super nice. He went out of his way to even come in on Saturday to look at some things. He was accommodating and a super nice guy. The rooms were big. They're bigger than a lot of places. It's an older facility, but it's very clean. They have a big variety of meals. We had lunch there and it was good. It was prepared well, very healthy, and well-balanced. The dining area was nice and people were close together, not in a bad way, but some people were very interactive. They have a lot of activities that you can get engaged in and transportation to Target and all that kind of stuff. They have a theater and a chapel as well.

My father will be moving into New Perspective Prior Lake. They were warm and welcoming and had good services. The room was nice and it's exactly what we were looking for. All the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They had all kinds of activities like bingo, cards, puzzles, social hour, walking clubs, and workout clubs.

New Perspective Prior Lake seemed fairly clean. Everyone was super friendly. It seemed very activity-based where you could meet lots of people and they would encourage community and things like that. It was a very positive feeling. It was the only one I've seen so far. It was what I expected, but it didn't blow me away. It was pretty clean and looked nice. They had a lot of different apartment layouts, which was cool. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The only thing that's kind of holding us back is when my father is going to need rent assistance, they're gonna move him into a companion apartment. That's the only thing that's kind of holding us back because I don't know if that's gonna make him happy. It seemed like a nice place.

After looking at numerous living options for a family member, we were blessed to find New Perspective Senior Living of Prior Lake. We immediately knew New Perspective was a great fit for my Aunt. Coleen, the sales director was very thorough answering all of our questions and helped us through the entire process. My aunt's apartment is so beautiful and spacious, with a full kitchen, dining room, bedroom, walk-in shower, and in-unit laundry room! They have wonderful amenities. Charlotte, and the nursing staff have managed to successfully monitor the care of the residents while keeping them virus free. My aunt is genuinely happy and has commented to me several times about how caring Bridget, the director, and all the care staff are. She has been able to get the help she needs at New Perspective, and still maintain her independence.

We liked New Perspective | Prior Lakem but they demanded so much money upfront. The rooms were very pleasant and seemed quite adequate. It's just forbiddingly expensive and just doesn't make any financial sense.

I visited New Perspective. I was impressed with the overall look of the building, and the dining room was big, airy, and looked spacious. I liked the aura of the building. The staff member who gave me the tour was very helpful, took the time to listen to my situation, and we had a good conversation. It was right in town. They had an area for the residents to go outside, and it was easy to get to.

We toured New Perspective, but we didn't think it was suitable for mother. It was under new management, and we had a miscommunication with the director, but a nurse was gracious enough to give us a full tour. They had a lot of features and functions, the rooms seemed to be in nice order, and they served meals there. The one-bedroom was pretty standard with a kitchen area and air conditioning unit.

We visited New Perspective and thought the building needed upgrading. They were working on it, but the carpet was old and worn, and the building didn't seem to be particularly clean. We also thought they were too expensive. Things were not as well taken care of as most of the places we went to. They had a meeting area, dining room, assisted living and memory care, a library, workshop, game room, and an exercise area. They had as many amenities as any of the other places we saw.

Not what it was formerly. Recent changes have resulted in many vacancies rather than the previous waiting list. Executive chef has been replaced and food is now a disgrace. Mostly unhealthy. Usually unappetizing. Often inedible. Emphasis on starches and very light on vegetables and even protein. Vegetables cooked to death. Frequent use of corn syrup and sugar. No accommodation for special dietary needs like low salt. Not even diabetic menu selections. Small portions now and they charge $8. extra for providing more food at a meal. Rents were just increased 4% for 2017. Staff turnover frequently. We are thinking to relocate our relative elsewhere. They've finally replaced the ripped carpet in the halls thank goodness, but the computers in the library still don't work.

I thought Keystone had a really nice library space and a place to do activities. They had a community kitchen plus the dining room was nice. I think their customer service may be on guest visits and how they handled that could be improved, and some of the services for care like the aid and assistance for taking showers. The shower was handicapped accessible, but it just wasn’t conducive.

I like Keystone (Keystone Comm of Prior Lake), but it has a 18 months to 24 months waiting list. I know I could live there, but when I heard how long the waiting list was, I just sort of forgot it and put it out of my mind. The staff was very nice though. He was absolutely knowledgeable. I play cards at the senior center in Prior Lake, and they’re very much involved with us. They will send people or programs and everything. They work very well with the senior center in Prior Lake, so I like that about it. I wasn’t impressed or unimpressed. I just felt that it was a place that I could be comfortable in. It was good.

She's at Keystone Senior Living. We chose that one because it's near my sister. They have a slew of social activities. They have arts and crafts, Happy Hour, and ice cream socials. There is a movie theater; you can go see whatever they're showing. The facility has a bus that takes them out and about. It's not exceptional. They serve three meals a day, but they don't have regular snacks on a daily basis. A lot of the staff are foreign. My mom doesn't understand their accents, so that causes difficulties and frustration. It's a problem.

Keystone is a very nice place with an ideal loaction for us. It is immaculately clean and well kept, and the food is tremendously good. My wife has a one-bedroom and wants to move into a two-bedroom.

My father lived there briefly until he died in his room. The experience of this facility was in my opinion below average and lack of quality care. The communication many times was difficult with the executive director about his care, when we complained she said things would get better but it really never did. In my opinion she seemed to care more about money than his care. He was nickel and dimed for everything. He was left in the dining room on more than one occasion for over an hour ringing his pendent for someone to come and help him and bring him to his room about 35 feet away, in that time his soiled his pants. One time an aide stripped a toothbrush from his hands while he was brushing his teeth. Once he hit his head and told me and my father-in-law and had a mark in his forehead but for some reason it was not documented and staff never told me. There are other incidents and e-mails I have documented. After he died they overcharged him for services he never received, after complaining to management about the overcharging and lack of care we were refunded the overcharges and a executive at Keystone called me "bitter. in my opinion a cruel and insensitive comment considering I had just lost my father. I cared about my father and I was trying to do right by him,. I would have hoped for compassion and respect. Update 8/3/15: Executive who called me "bitter" called me 3 times, July 9,10 & 17th, persistent in wanting me to meet with him to talk about review, "closure" and "help me heal." I don't know him and don't meet with strange men. made me feel uneasy and felt it was weird. he compared his sons broken bone to the death of my father. In my opinion perhaps he thinks I've grieved long enough? He also asked me if I wanted executive director of Keystone Prior lake "terminated." Also weird and not my concern. He said he was sorry which sounded meaningless. I wanted a written apology which he said he would send to me on the 17th. Having experienced the lack of compassion and integrity of the Keystone executives before I knew he would not keep his word & never did receive anything. My father's experience was primarily negative and upsetting, and I would never would recommend Keystone.
