The staff and the meals here in Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows are good. I have a lovely apartment and I'm allowed to have my dog here with me. It is a two-bedroom and I have a small patio behind my unit. We have a nice grass area out here that we can walk around on. Compared to the people I had in Arizona, the staff here is much younger and I get the impression that they're not as informed, but they're fine. They take care of us and give us medications. Because of our age, we don't have any outdoor facilities, but different things around Mankato are of interest to the residents here. We have things going on that we can do here, like bingo, exercise, and things to keep our minds busy.

I moved into Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows. My daughter chose it, and she liked the ambiance of it, so that's why I'm here. The facility was very nice and clean. They have libraries. They play bingo a couple of times a week. They have entertainment and movies. The staff members were all very nice. The food could be better, but it's okay.

I liked everything about Vista Prairie of Monarch Meadows. I loved the layout and I love the apartment. The only thing is that it would be more costly because they would only get assisted living. And if my mom could do independent living for a year or two, it would help her save a lot of money in the long run, and her money would last a lot longer. The facility was very good. They were in the process of remodeling quite a few of their rooms and they were making them much brighter and lighter with fixtures and stuff, which I thought was nice. I like the newer rooms, but the other ones were similar to all the other places that we've been to. They had an exercise room, and they even have a patio where they grill things for them in the summer. That was the only place that I saw that, it would be really fun for people because Minnesota summers are short and you want to do all of that fun stuff. The staff that was not the office manager or marketing person, she worked on the floor, she was the one that took us on the tour and I like her very, very much. I can tell with the way she talks that she presented a lot more warmth and more personal experience of working there, which I liked. I saw the menu, they had two dining rooms which were pretty nice and big. The person who gave the tour impressed me.

My mom will be moving into Vista Prairie of Monarch Meadows. The experience was excellent. What grabbed my attention most was that the staff asked a lot of questions about my mom, like things that she liked and the kind of help she needed. I thought they were very calm and patient when I brought her there to give her a tour of the place. They had a beauty shop, an activity department, a chef who prepares three meals a day, a small library, and a nice patio. The facility is very clean, very homey, and very welcoming.

My sister will be moving into Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows. The people were very kind and very interested in my sister. They made her feel right at home and welcomed. We toured the whole place and found a place where she can live with her puppy as well. We looked at four different types of apartments, and she picked an 860-foot, one-bedroom apartment on the main floor with a patio entrance. They have three meals a day and a snack, programs, exercise, arts, movies, shopping, help with medications, housekeeping, and laundry. They have a lot of different things. They have two patios, two dining areas, and two lounges for people to just go sit. They have beautiful fireplaces and very, very friendly people. I would like to move in myself, but I'm not old enough yet. One of the reasons she chose Monarch Meadows is that we know people there.

Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows is a very nice place amongst those we've visited. There's some difficulty in contacting the business office there, I've called twice now to talk to the manager and she still hasn't gotten back to me for more than a week now. The two rooms that I viewed were under some kind of maintenance. The people that were there seemed very nice, they answered my questions. It was nice all the way around, including the furniture, it was a spacious and beautiful place.

My mom moved into Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadow. It's excellent and my mom likes it there. The staff is friendly, very nice, and they do all the stuff they're supposed to do. My mom likes the food and it's very good. She likes all of the activities like bingo, games, and movie nights.

We visited Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows. They were very cordial and we saw everything. It looked nice, but it didn't really have the care needed for my father. We appreciate the tour and their hospitality. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable.

I liked Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows because the older people were more active. It's not like a nursing home. It looked new. The apartments were really nice and had a living room and a bedroom. It's in a nice area of town. It's pretty bright and airy. I met the director, who was very friendly.

This is a nice facility and is only about 10 years old. It was recently taken over by a new management company and I believe a remodel of some parts of the facility is coming soon. The staff is friendly and professional and the residents seemed happy and content. Each room is equipped with a small kitchen area where residents can prepare their own meals if they so desire. There is also a dining area where residents can get three meals a day if they do not want to cook. There is an Activities Director who plans outings and on-site activities. There are "care suites" for residents who need more personal attention and RN's and CNA's are on staff to provide care and dispense medications. It was a nice facility and is located near a church, school and residential neighborhood. I would not hesitate to show this facility to a family member in need of this living arrangement.
