We're going with New Perspective Eagan for my mother. We chose it because of the location. It's a big thing for all of us to be able to visit her. The other thing is that she has a lady friend that is already there so we felt that it would help her transition of moving from her home. She's comfortable and secure there. We toured their assisted living during our visit. Everything in the facility was very organized and very well laid out. We also noticed that the people that were there seemed very content. There were a lot of activities and it just seemed like a nice, happy place. The staff we met during the tour was fabulous to work with. He follows up all the time, he's trying to do his best to get us what we need from him and to suggest things. We're going to take another tour very soon.

New Perspective Eagan was good. My parents liked it. I saw the assisted living and the memory care units. My parents, who went with me, liked the 2-bedroom. It was clean. They like that they have options of getting additional care to go to the gym for my mom. The staff was very open, friendly, kind, and willing to help.

I visited New Perspective Eagan. The rooms are a little older; it opened up in 2004. The design of the room just did not hit me right. It has individual air-conditioning units, with units on the wall in the living room and the master bedroom, while the other places have central air conditioning. The person who gave me the tour was very nice; he was fine. The room looked older, and as regards the air-conditioning units on the wall, I would not let that to take up the space on a couple of my walls as far as trying to plan my furniture around it. They offer a full range of activities for seniors. The dining room was fine. Right off the top of my head, I cannot remember the price for the two-bedroom-two-baths, but it is in the same ballpark as the others; it was not unusually high. They have daily activities planned. The place was clean and attractive, as far as the space that you come into. My first impression was just fine in terms of walking up the door, but when I saw the apartment, I was not impressed by it.

New Perspective's staff and facilities were very good, but the pricing was high. The activities were good, but the amenities were terrible. They had very limited walking space outside for residents, no exercise room, and very little meeting room space. The food was OK. They were remodeling everything.

I visited New Perspective. We had a good tour, and it was very nice. I liked the layout, the common areas for the people, and the apartments. They had a washer and dryer in a small area right off the kitchen, and the 2-bedroom had decent sized bedrooms. The staff was very good, very nice, and very informative. The dining area was very nice and very open.

The rooms at New Perspective Eagen were all nice, good-sized one-bedrooms with kitchens. The ones on the first floor had patios. They had bingo, puzzles, and games and a van on which the residents do outings. There was a room which they use as a chapel and movie theater. I only met their sales representative, who was very nice. The place was nice and clean. I saw a few residents who all looked happy.

The apartments at Keystone Senior Living were spacious and located down toward the river. The area around it was quite nice. The people were wonderful, and I thought it was a very nice facility. But it had a very tired and run-down appearance. The whole area looked like it needed new carpeting and painting. The carpet inside the apartment was an old, brown, shake rag, so you see it’s not of very good quality. It was a nice location with lots of greenery, nice trees and seemed very quiet, but as soon as you get in to the lobby, the furniture looked 20 years old. It’s really outdated and not clean. It’s looked dingy. They had air conditioning units in their windows rather than central air conditioning.

My husband is at Keystone, and we are pleased with the staff. We are going to have a caregiving conference with them next week. There is a lot of turnover, but they do a very good job, and he likes it. I think the food is good and more like hospital food, but they're good meals served three times a day. I guess you cannot ask for more than that.

Ninety-five percent of the staff at Keystone is wonderful. It is just that if you get one that is not doing their job, that is really terrible. It is wonderful in terms of accommodating, but it is not so great on quality control. Their intent was great, but the follow through was not so great. The activities and the amenities were good -- salon, bingo, entertainment. The food was pretty good, and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly.

Dad is in Keystone and everything has been great. The people and the area also were great. The staff was very helpful. He is actually in a one bedroom apartment. We’ve eaten there and the food was really good. They don’t repeat every five or six weeks and if they don’t like what’s being served, they can pick from the menu. They got three or four things going on everyday like cards, church and outings. I like the location as I have sisters that live near the place.
