I visited many centers in my search for the best place for my wife. When we got there she didn't even want to go inside. I was afraid that was the beginning of the end and my guilt was magnified. Now, 3 months later, she considers it home and loves it there. She told me on a recent visit that it was nice to have me home. When I told her what a beautiful home she has she simply said"I know I do. The staff, food and facility itself are outstanding. I know I made the right choice. It isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny to me to know that she is happy and well cared for. I can't say enough about the quality of the care she receives.

My uncle moved into the Suite Living of Crystal. He is in the memory care portion, and it's locked down. He has his own room and restroom. It's kind of the size of an efficiency apartment. It's one room, and it's perfect for him. So far, the interaction with the staff has been positive. Everyone's been helpful. They have activities. My uncle has meals that are included, so they make sure that he eats. They assist him with his bathing and toileting in the mornings. This location doesn't have a gym area or courtyard. They have open areas for people to sit in, meet with others, and socialize. It was the most financially acceptable for us.

My tour experience at Suite Living of Crystal was great. All of the people that I talked with were extremely informative, very welcoming, very knowledgeable, and helpful. I didn't eat any of the food, but the cafeteria looked very homey and it looked like a nice little restaurant. You would want to sit and eat dinner with your family there. The staff knew the tenants and the tenants knew the staff. It was a small place, they only have around 30 beds. The room I saw was more for one person to live there, it's a studio but it looks nice. I could completely see my mom living there. The bathroom was really nice and really large, and even though the word "studio" kind of freaked me out, when I went to see it I was extremely impressed. It looked like you could make it nice, you have to bring in your own medical-grade bed. And the lady said we can bring a big couch, or we could bring a pullout couch, or bring furniture from home as well for when people come and visit and make it feel like it's your own little space. It didn't have a full kitchen but it had a nice area for a small microwave and a small refrigerator, but just not have a stovetop or an oven, but there was a ton of cabinet space. So you could still feel like you're kind of at home, but not actively cooking. There's a chart on the wall with a list of activities, they had a big table so you can have friends over and eat there. It breaks down to $10,000 a month.
