I toured Heathers Estates Senior Living. I like the location. I like the whole place. The staff was very competent. They showed the dining room, the gym, and the laundry.

Heather Estates was not very convenient, but the appearance was fine. The person who assisted me was very nice. They were having recitals and ice cream socials. They can improve on activities since they weren’t exciting, and the dining area was very crowded.

I liked Heathers Estates the best, but they didn't have internet. It had big apartments. The community fee was $500 or $600. They had a separate building for independent and assisted living. There were so many free meals and a swimming pool. They were close to New Hope, MN where the YMCA is, so you can go there and exercise.

The Heathers had very narrow and long hallways with an elevator at the end. It wouldn’t work for me unless I lived on the main floor or very close to the elevator. I did like that the rooms have big balconies. The woman who interviewed me was very nice, showed me around, and answered my questions.

My brother has moved into Heathers Estates, and so far, it's been good. He's only been there for about a month. It fits his personality, and it's homey. The staff had a very welcoming attitude and seemed to hit it off with him very well. They have lots of activities going on and a menu that is very good. They have a higher percentage of men, so they are more no-nonsense in decoration and feeling. They have a men's group, which is uncommon to find. They have a nurse that comes in, a pool for water aerobics, a van that goes out to different places, and potlucks. It's a very good place for him.
