I visited Crest View Senior Communities Columbia Heights Campus. It's very economical compared to a lot of places. The one I'm in probably is twice the price at what will cost me at Crestview. They had mostly everything that I was interested in having-- an apartment, garage, and meals. It seems to be clean and has friendly people. They have community rooms and an outside courtyard that a person could use. They have independent living, assisted living, and even hospice. I guess they have memory care. They have several buildings (not everything is in one building). They have a menu. I have a friend who has lived there for quite some time, and she gave it a good rating when we talked between us. They had an exercising group going on that I watched for a few minutes.

There is a place that I'm interested in, and it's called The Boulevard Apartments. It's not assisted living, but it has services. My son went on a tour, too, and he didn't feel it was well kept up like the parking lot needed resurfacing, but I didn't care about that. They have a kitchen so you can sign up for meals or you can just grab a meal and go. The staff that gave me the tour was very accommodating, but he's no longer there. He left to move someplace else. The physical appearance was alright. It's not a modern facility. The staff was great though.
