My 95 year old mom is there . it is great. She had been in another nursing home far away from me . She is doing better at Parmley. Parmley takes patients on Medicare. & patients that are very elderly with multiple severe medical problems. consumers should be aware of these issues and advocate for loved ones.

Would not recommend this facility for Transitional or long term care. My mom stayed here for three weeks, recovering from a fracture. We were told she would receive therapy daily or multiple times daily. She was lucky to see them once or twice a week. At a care meeting, two weeks after arrival, they clearly had not taken the time to read the notes that came with her from the hospital about prior activity level, prognosis (great from the hospital, expected to return to pre-accident condition), or extenuating circumstances (MS). Very disappointing. I realize staffing is a challenge for everyone but the facility should not take patients if they don't have the ability to provide services they promise and are being paid for. On a positive note, the activities department was awesome! There were group activities almost daily. Staff made sure to ask residents if they wanted to join in. Staff on the unit were pleasant and helpful. The food was abundant but mostly high carb. The room was private but very stripped down with old, broken furniture. Parts of the facility were newer but the majority of the common spaces and patient rooms were older and in need of refurbishing. The long term care rooms were small and shared. Most common spaces in long-term care were small with patients squeezed into them. With what Monarch is being paid, they could afford to put some money into this facility. Pretty sad

My father is in Parmly on the Lake. As far as nursing homes go, it's very nice. It seems very well-maintained and clean. My dad seems to like the meals. The exterior is kind of on the lake, so they have a couple of different decks and patios to sit on. There's a big circle where you can take your wheelchair, or walk, and go out to overlook the lake. It feels like vacationing. The staff members are really friendly. It's on the expensive side. They have a game room.

TOUR first!! The photos on this website are not what long term care looks like! The residents share a room that has cinder-block walls and a curtain to separate roommates. Their bathroom is not handicapped accessible. There is no phone or tv available to them unless you provide and pay for your own service. Also, there is one window but only one roommate can make use of it, the other roommate has no natural light or fresh air capabilities.

I visited Parmly on the Lake. I thought it was a nice view. I thought the closets were small. The staff seems friendly. It seemed to be clean. I would just say that. I know they're playing bingo.
