My husband seems to be content at West Bloomfield Health & Rehabilitation Center, so that's good. They're working with him. I think it's a good place. My husband has been there for a couple of weeks now. The staff are caring, and they come as quickly as they can. The food is pretty good; I've eaten it. For activities, they have bingo. They have dogs that come and visit the patients, and they let them pet them. They have extra chairs and a small sofa that the visitors can sit on. Some of the rooms even have sofa beds.

West Bloomfield Health & Rehabilitation Center is topnotch. My mother is getting excellent skilled care with a skilled nurse, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. They have special attention and an individualized diet and menu for her, and they have educated us about that. They customize her dietary plans, which is hard to find, and the food is delivered hot and fresh. Everyone is just pleasant and the place is clean. So, we are very well pleased. She's got a large, private room that has a bed, a nightstand, a dresser, two closets, her own restroom, a large window, a loveseat, and a large lounge chair for visitors. My mother is invited to go over to the long-term care side of the facility, which is just a quick walk down the hallway, and they have a full calendar with movies, bingo, wheelchair bowling, sing alongs, and a Saturday morning stretch. They also publish a menu in advance, so others would know what's going to be served for the whole week. Some of her physical therapy is done in her room, and sometimes she's taken to the physical therapy room where they have weights, bands, steps, and rails. A doctor makes the rounds too. It's just not brand new, but it's contemporary. The hallways are huge, everything is carpeted, and clean.

I would give this nursing center five stars. The care was great and the rehab was the best. I would of never thought I would be this happy about a nursing facility after hearing bad experiences from other people I know. If you need a place for rehab , check this place out!

My father had an excellent rehabilitation stay at this wonderful caring facility. He had very complicated and complex medical problems. They handle heavy care because they are a Beaumont affiliated center. My father could not be happier with the care, services, food, nurses, aides and other staff. The facility full time Beaumont doctor was an expert in care of the elderly and was fantastic. He said that she cared for him as though he was her own father. At the same time she was able to get him through his rehabilitation while managing his many serious medical problems.

I cannot imagine a better place for my grandmother. We fell in love on the tour and were pleased with the entire experience. My grandma didn't love her initial meal plan and the dietician Erin quickly made adjustments to suit her needs. The staff was attentive and caring. Beaumont doctors was a plus. Warm and caring staff. We loved West Bloomfield Nursing Center.

My family had a terrible experience. We were impressed by the facility during a tour, but we ended up having nothing but problems with the care. There were several incidents where my family member went ignored by staff, She was to be on a special diet and the food they were serving her did not even attempt to fit the criteria. Anybody seeking care for a loved one, I would look elsewhere.

West Bloomfield Nursing Center is so far the nicest center that we visited. The center itself has a very welcoming atmosphere and a big dining room. The staff seems to be attentive to the patients. My mom seems to be happy there. We don't have any complaints and any questions have been addressed. Everything that we ask for, they are able to take care of them.

My father was at West Bloomfield Nursing Rehab for his respiratory illness. They did excellent care getting him back with his breathing problems and participating in physical therapy and occupational therapy. It was an excellent facility, and the staff did an excellent job. They were very helpful and very accommodating. He was in a private room. The physical grounds were very welcoming, as were the common areas where the activities would be at and the common dining areas. They were all very well done. They have activities and rooms for physical and occupational therapy. It was very professional. They did a good job, and they were able to on a daily basis convince my father to exercise in different ways. I would recommend this facility to anyone. He was there for about two weeks.

Very bad service. The 99% of the women AID have bad actitude with the patients. When they need help they came after half and hour or more,if you ask for something they don't like that. The men AID are very good. The only good things in this place they do activities, the food is good and the place is clean.

The idea Grandma had to undergo knee replacement surgery was very stressful. Her fragile state to begin with, coupled with the negative feedback that circulates about the various nursing homes of our area, were extremely worrisome for us as a family. So when Grams entered West Bloomfield for her post acute care recovery, to be frank, I held my breath. But what a revelation! It was a testament to great care, in a lovely and relaxing environment, with nursing staff that went the extra mile to not only make sure she was comfortable but took an interest in what we as a family knew was important to her when she couldn't express it herself. The rehabilitation center was outstanding and her progress was more evident as she got stronger and stronger. They were kind, positive and proactive for a meaningful recovery. There was an overall sense of human spirit that made us feel welcome and while we initially had preconceived ideas of what the experience would be like, it couldn't have been a better fit.

I visited West Bloomfield Nursing facility. In general, I thought West Bloomfield Nursing facility was beautiful and would be an excellent choice for a friend or a family member. The facility was very beautiful and it was very clean and it didn't smell. West Bloomfield is an excellent choice for a placement of anyone and every one ages 50 and over. The grounds of the facility are beautiful and very well maintained and the landscape is very well decorated and structured. The common areas of the facility are beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood is also beautiful and the houses and the facility are surrounded by greenery and flowers. The residents' rooms are matching with various shades of blue and cranberry, with a touch of turquoise, matching sofas in the residents' rooms, with such an elegant look. The residents' rooms have such a magnificent smell of flowers. The staff and management of the facility are professional, team, task oriented in their job duties and performance. I think the residents receive excellent care there. The management and staff there treat the residents like family. West Bloomfield Nursing facility also offer their residents ice cream social, dancing, birthday parties, cooking class, and a vast majority of various other recreation and activity's. They also offer their residents prayer services, in their chapel, their prayer services are of various denominations. However that way no one is left out of their specific spiritual faith and denomination. While I was there, I noticed that the vast majority of their residents had their own personal care providers. The residents there also socialize very well with one another and the residents there were also always supervised by staff and or management. The residents there were also very well dressed and taken care of even the non mobile residents were dressed very formal. The entire structure of the facility was formal and elegant, and the residents conveyed to me that they love the staff and management there and the facility and all that it have to offer them. I would have to give West Bloomfield Nursing Center a five star rating for its excellence. Overall, West Bloomfield Nursing facility is an excellent facility for anyone that is looking for a placement for a friend or family member and I would recommend it to everyone, anyone, and anyone over 50 because I know that they would do well there and I know that they would like it there.

I've known a number of residents there over that past few years and have visited many times. It's an okay choice for rehab for most people"”not the best or worst"¦somewhere in the middle. It's set back from the street in a nice suburb. And it's close to a hospital. It's easy to get to, very accessible. The facility is in good condition. It's clean and is set up in a multi-wing configuration. The rooms are nice, too"”bright and airy. There are usually two people to a room. The staff is uneven. I've had some client families who were disappointed by the care. There's just not enough staff for dementia patients, in particular. It's part of the Beaumont Hospital System, and that system is "cutthroat""”it's all about the bottom line. This is a place that's focused on rehab. It's the only thing they do or want to do. In terms of activities, they offer physical therapy up to two times a day. Other than that, zip. One big negative is that they don't accept Medicaid; they ask patients to leave once they use up other funds and have to go on Medicaid even though that's not legal. For someone with dementia who needs rehab, it's not a good choice.

My mother went here for wound care and physical therapy. While there, her bed sore more than doubled in size. There was no consistency of care. She has Alzheimer's disease and was to receive only thickened liquids yet she was given regular water time and again. Her pain meds, which she receives at home, were not given correctly even though I'd had a conversation early on to explain the need. They put it down as "as needed." She's got dementia. She couldn't tell them when she needed it. Very very disappointing experience. Mom did NOT get good care here.
