My dad is in a long-term care facility, Pine Creek Manor. He has been there for three weeks now. The aides who work there are very companionable with the residents. The nurses are mean and short. There are three people to a room in a room that should only hold two people. So, it's overcrowded. You can't visit in the room; you have to visit in the lobby. Overall, I am not happy with the place. To get a day pass for him, it felt like we had to harass, harass, harass, harass, and then even when we got there, he wasn't ready to go. The residents are not a priority in that place. The place is very old, and it looks its age. It comes across as dirty. It may be clean, but it's so rundown that it just looks dirty. We're not allowed in the room. My dad is not eating while he's there; he's not eating well. Medicaid fully pays for it, so if Medicaid fully pays for it, I guess it's worth the money.
