My mom (age 84) had a recent health setback, which required hospitalization followed by rehabilitation. Once again, we chose Regency at Shelby Township. This was her 2nd stay there in the past four months. From the admissions process all the way through the discharge process, the entire staff at Regency made this a wonderful experience during a stressful time for my family. They are kind, knowledgeable, thorough and very much on top of things. And they are always accessible and update us along the way, which is something I feel is important. Thank you again to the entire staff at Regency at Shelby!

Rooms are private and very nice, get a TV, dresser wardrobe and private bath. The diet my mom was on was not very tasty, but had options she could order. Staff was nice, helpful and kind. PT/OT was okay, gym had no AC, so being summer it was 80+ everyday. My low rating is due to medical staff, staff is marginal at best, understandable since the bar isn’t high for a doctor at a rehab. If needed for a true medical problem not the best as my family found out. Given options of rehabs, there are others I would look at first.

I was thoroughly impressed with Regency of Shelby. Everyone was so kind caring and concerned. My Aunt has dementia. The laws in Michigan do not protect the patients with dementia. I had delt with a lot of facilities before Regency. They were the best.

The Regency has a cheerful decor with wonderful seasonal decorations to lift visitors and residents spirits. The rooms are spacious and our Dad enjoyed the generous meals. Over the three week stay, staff had a variety of suitable activities and games, especially fun is Name that Tune! The nurses and aides that worked with our Dad were great! Friendly, professional, and pleasant. There were even hugs of thanks and farewell. Several times family accompanied Dad to PT to cheer him on and watch his progress. PT staff really know their stuff! A good feature are the enclosed outside courts for a bit of fresh air. Our family would definitely recommend The Regency!

Rooms are big and bathroom large as well. Staff is non existent and if they are around, they are not helpful. Worst care possible. Food is even worse. Everything is blamed on Covid, short staffed, etc. that may be true, however the staff that are there are not happy and not helpful. Wouldn't send my dog there

I was at Regency at Shelby Township. They seemed to know what they were doing. There's a certain amount of waiting sometimes, but they worked pretty hard. They were helpful and they tried to take care of the people. The food was edible. There were nice things, and sometimes they delivered it and you're waiting for things like blood sugars or whatever, it ended up kind of cold. They had some activities. They didn't have that many things for short-term care, but they had some for the long-term care people there. They made a good effort. It's a nice place. They have a rehab place, but they want you to go with a therapist. There's a dining area but since COVID, they haven't opened it up completely. The dining area was nice and quite large. It was mostly paid for by insurance.

The rooms were large. There was some space for clothing and personal items. Interactions w staff were mixed. I never had contact with a doctor. SSW Serena, was patient and helpful. Staff Marche and Q were helpful and attentive. They seemed to really care about the patients' well-being. The food was pretty good. OT/PT staff were willing to answer questions quickly and thoroughly. It was very difficult to contact nursing staff via telephone. Staff may need training on how to assist patients who self-harm.

The PT and OT were very good and polite. So was the Social Worker who helped us out. Some of the nurses were not very attentive until I filed a written complaint. The kitchen did not meet our request on the type of foods my 95 year old mother could not eat, (after talking with them three different times). Plus they missed giving her dinner twice. Poor communication between everyone. One person would tell us mom could get anxiety meds earlier but when we asked for it they said no we had to wait till 8 pm. Mom did get better to go home but Don’t go there.

My father-in-law was in Regency At Shelby Township for rehab, and he's been there probably four times. We liked it because it's close to our families and he knows the therapists and all there now. The only thing was that they were understaffed, and we were a little disappointed with some of the help. This time, it wasn't as great as it was in the past. They have a nice physical therapy room, a big gym, it was a good gym with good-sized machines. That's what we liked about it too, they had good things to use. The therapists were good, and the nurses were good, it just seemed like they were understaffed this time. The food was not that great, quite often it was too cold and he complained, and they finally made sure it was not cold. He wasn't a fussy eater, but he wasn't happy with the food there very much. It was covered by Medicare, so it was a good value.
