Tecumseh Place is small, and it has a five to one patient to employee ratio, so there's plenty of staff there. Although the cost is not cheap, my father-in-law would be able to stay there until he dies. I'm not familiar with the activities, but they are trying to find out what activities interest him. His room has a single bed, a really nice La-Z-Boy, a dresser, and a big TV.

I went to the assisted living part of Tecumseh Place, but they also had memory care there. They first told me that they would not come down from their regular price. When I already signed my aunt into another place, they called me and said they would come down, but it was too late. I would have liked that place. It was very nice. There were a group of residents playing bingo and there's a beautiful huge lobby area with the grand piano. They have nice size rooms and nice kitchens. All the facilities were new looking and nice as well.

My father was in Tecumseh Place for a month. The living quarters were very nice, and the staff was great. He bonded with a couple of people pretty well while he was there. I couldn't say enough good things about the staff. The dining area was pretty nice, and the food was pretty good. I've had a couple meals there. They had a lot of things to do and had people come in to play the organ and the piano and sing.

I wasn’t pleased with Tecumseh Place. They advertised as having a memory care unit, but when you get to a certain point, you are taken out. There are three different stages, and I want it to go beyond that level because I don’t want to move my uncle to another facility. The staff is pretty good, but they appear to be disorganized. I had an appointment with them, and in it, we were interrupted probably about seven or eight times. I wasn’t pleased with that. There are all the different, little emergencies that spring up.

Tecumseh Place just had a new memory care unit which seemed really nice for people with dementia. The dining area was really nice and clean. It looked like a restaurant. They showed us a menu, and they had good choices of food.
