I went to Linden Square Assisted Living Center. I know people who live there. I had dinner there; it's OK. They don't have as much stuff for the residents like the other places, but that's not going to be a big thing for my father. I have to call them to get more information. I went there to visit my friends. I liked the layout of their apartments. The staff seemed OK, all right. I was there on a Sunday, and I played bingo with my friends.

I didn't care about Linden Square Assisted Living at all. The staff wasn't friendly. They weren't cruel or angry or anything like that, but you got the feeling they were just doing their job, that they were going through the motions. We saw the memory care and the assisted living. We went in two different areas and it smelled like urine in one area like somebody was laying in a wet bed. They had the best unit that my sister and my brother-in-law looked at in any of the places because of the space and the way it was laid out and that type of thing, but in the bathroom, it smelled like sewer. That was a big turnoff right there. Most of the places would have like one or two units maybe available and this place had 110 units or something, and they only had 79 rooms filled. I kind of question, too, as to why. I didn't ask them any questions, but in my mind I did. The staff was just doing their job. There wasn't any laughing and there was no cheerfulness in the place. I was not impressed with the place. They had a courtyard, a salon, and an activity area.

Linden Square Assisted Living was very nice and very clean. The people seemed nice and very friendly. The environment in the memory care was clean and neat. The common areas were nice, but the long hallways were not as colorful and as inviting as they could be. It was a little bit institutional looking and not as homey as it could be, perhaps. I would like to see a place that's a little more colorful, a little more upbeat, and more pleasant. So, the environment could be improved a little bit, but they had very, very pleasant staff. They were very helpful and very understanding.

My mother was a resident of the memory care facility and unfortunately was only there 8 months when she passed away. The staff that cared for my mom was amazing, and we loved all of them. The corporate office however is absolutely horrible and for this reason I would not recommend Linden Square. As my mothers dementia worsened she began to have “unwanted behaviors” as they said and served me an eviction letter. The people who work at the corporate office are rude, uncaring and void of any compassion or understanding of this disease. You cannot predict how dementia is going to affect your loved one, what behaviors will arise through the course of the disease but yet Linden Square will hold your loved one accountable for how they behave. I would have given them zero stars if it was an option.

My father is in Linden Square Assisted Living Center, and the experience is good. We like the location. The staff is good (somewhat average), but they're kind of shorthanded like everybody else. They're really working hard trying to take care of everybody. The rooms were expensive. They have music, board games, and different events based on holidays. They have a salon on site, and the food is pretty good.

Linden Square Assisted Living Center had 12 levels of care, and my husband was a level 8. He had a stroke after we got him there, and they brought in hospice. Our experience has been quite good. The caregiver seemed very caring and very helpful. It's been a hard transition for me, but there's been good communication. I went with a studio for the lowest price, which was room and board, and they added $300 for each unit of care. It had a very large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and it was very nice. All the windows had a window sill that curbs out to put things on, and you had a nice view. For memory care, the room, bathroom and closet are quite a bit smaller, but you pay more because the ratio of care is larger. The food is quite good. They have a lot of carbs and desserts, but there's a variety, and they have a chef. Because of COVID, they just started going to the dining hall instead of eating in their rooms. They have exercise, an exercise room, and some activities. His needs are really being met well with the addition of hospice to his care there. The seniors are pretty happy and doing different things there.

We brought our father to this facility for assistance in helping him manage his day to day needs. He was soon transfered over to the memory unit where he was left in his room all day with very little contact from the staff. Staffing is very inadequate for a lock down unit. We were told if they were to give him a shower it would be an additional $400 per month. They also stated they would have to charge $600 more each month to lay out his clothes each morning and get him for daily meals. When we pulled our father out of there they were charging him over $5,000.00. The nursing staff seemed very young and at times uncaring. When we walked in every day the patients would be lined up in front of the TV with no one around at times. Staffing at night was even worse for both units - assisted living and the memory units. We have pulled our father out of this facility. I would not recommend this facility especially if your loved one needs to be monitored 24/7. The only one that seemed to care about my father on a daily basis was Stephanie from house keeping, go figure. Some houses are beautiful on the outside, but terrible on the inside. It is my opinion that a young LPN does not have enough experience or qualifications to be placed in charge of a facility of this nature. Either my sister or I were at the facility at least once every day during the eight months that our father was a resident. This is just my own personal opinion of what I observed while my father was a resident at this facility.

I really liked Linden Square, and I don’t have to travel on the express way. I liked the room that he would go into; it had a big bay window and a walk-in closet, and it just seemed nice. Everything was clean, it didn’t smell, and it felt like his room back home. They had a program that had people doing things.

My friend has been at Linden Square for six weeks. We like the place so far. It's fairly new and the rooms are very nice, well-kept, and very clean. The staff is excellent. I liked their response time and professionalism.
