Working with Alicia and the staff has been a wonderful experience. They are so helpful. The facility is clean, the rooms are very lovely, and the daily schedule of activities meets the needs of my mom. I am happy that our family could settle our mom at Swanhaven.

We toured Swanhaven Manor and there's just a couple of things that we have a little concern about. It is the carpeting upstairs on the second or third floor. They said they're replacing them, but there are some spots that didn't look that nice. They didn't mention it to me, I had to ask them because there were some spots that were cut out and you could see it wasn't placed with a piece. There are some stains. So I asked about it. He said they're working on replacing the carpet. For the staff, I don't want to be picky, but I mean, her nails were chipped. If you're going to meet the public, you need to be presentable. Other than that, she's very friendly. They don't have food. They have a restaurant. It's not like they provide meals. It's a nice place. The pricing is very good. They have a government subsidy if your income qualifies them.

My tour of Swanhaven Manor was very good. What I liked least about it was that it's far away from our doctors. The staff was great. Everybody was nice, friendly, and willing to answer questions. There's a good staff. In terms of cleanliness, it was good. The room was good. I liked it. It's a comfortable atmosphere.

My sister moved to Swanhaven Manor. It appears to be quite convenient to get to. All the facilities are cheerful and the staff was very helpful. Had a slight difficulty at one point in moving things in and they were helpful. There's a library, there's laundry, there's crafts. A variety of activities are available and they have a system for transportation to various shopping. My sister was impressed that there were two closets, one for the bedroom and then a walk-in closet. She has a storage unit which she pays a little extra for but it's up two stories, and that is a convenience to her. I keep telling her if that closet gets too full she can carry it up to the storage. She is in front of the building, her living room, and she can walk out to a balcony or patio. The kitchen has an area that's akin to where you can look out from the kitchen into the living dining room. The staff was very caring and compassionate.

We toured the building of Swanhaven Manor and they took us through all the things that they do and have out there. It's very, very, nice. I thought that was a good deal. It's just kind of far out of town, and I don't have a ride for my different appointments. I don't know if my insurance will give me a ride or how I will do that, but I like the facility. I would have moved there in a minute. The facility was super great. I told them that I couldn't go upstairs, so I needed a level apartment and they were going to check for me. They were just really super. We had a lot of fun touring and having little nibbles of cupcakes and different things. It was nice. It was good. The people there were all nice, too. They all came up to me and said hi and were pleasant. They had a frozen cart for frozen drinks, like frozen Coca-Cola and different things like that that you could get. Then they had a nice hairdresser place. Everything was really good. I saw the snack bar, which is in a different area, and what you do is go in there, they have sandwiches and soups and different things that you can purchase if you like, and take to your room. Then they have a person that comes to your room twice a week or something like that and cleans. So, that was nice.

Everything seemed to be good during our tour of Swanhaven Manor. I liked the lady that took us around. She was very friendly and very informative. Their amenities include a salon and a kitchen area. The facility was pretty clean, and the room that I saw was good. It is located close to where my mother-in-law lives now and close to hospitals.

My mom has been in Swanhaven Manor for seven years now. It's very nice. The people are very nice there. The layout is nice. The only complaint I've ever heard my mom say is that it's cold like in the outer areas. But she's 97, so she's always cold. They have a movie room, they have entertainment that comes in, they have craft shows that come in, they have meals there, and they have special occasions like popcorn day, ice cream day, and all kinds of different things like that. I think being active is all by choice, they're all able to live independently, so if they want to, they sign up for the activities. They have a bus there, and they can go to the store. Most of the people are very helpful there, but there are probably a couple of girls in the office that are not helpful at all.

I'm a resident of Swanhaven Manor Retirement Community. They are very accommodating. No issues at all. They are very attuned to each person's needs. They take very great care, it seems, to all your needs. The staff members are very pleasant. If you need anything, they always ask if there's anything they can do for you. They're always taking care of the facility. If you need anything repaired or replaced, they're right on top. For what you get, it's well worth it. My experience has only been with this community, and from what I've heard of others around, this is the best one. They have a library, a laundry room if you want to use it, a dining room, and a card room. Whatever you want, they have it here. They have a bus that takes people on certain days to go to Wal-Mart and to Dollar Store, and they have outings. They have everything you could ask for. The people are very pleasant in every aspect. I'm very happy. From day one, they always address you by your first name or your surname, whatever you would like to have done. They're the best people to deal with.

I live in Swanhaven Manor. It's a nice place to live here. Everybody's really friendly. The apartment here is really nice. All the girls told me mine is one of the cleanest ones in the whole building. Being in the military and everything before, I'm pretty set in my ways about how I want things done. I'm in a power wheelchair and I get around in here pretty good. It's a handicapped apartment here that I've got. All the doorways are wide and I'm on the first floor, so I don't need any ramps to get into my place or anything. I'm not on the second or third floor, so I'm thankful for that. They've got all kinds of things for us. They've got a movie room that they will show movies on certain afternoons, and they play bingo here just about every other day. They've got a pool room and an exercise room with a lot of equipment in there. They've even got arts and crafts room upstairs. Most of these are all on the second floor. Everybody seems to enjoy themselves a lot around here because there's always something to do. We've got a real nice dining hall there that we'll see just about everybody in the whole building at one time. You can't complain about the food because we've got a new cook in here now, and the food has changed a lot for the better. Everything is going along fine. Towards Christmastime, we have this one lady in here, and she plays piano really well in the lobby and sings Christmas carols. They have a lot of activities for us. We've got a shuttle bus here that takes all of us. If we want to go, we have to sign up. They take us shopping. If we don't want to eat in the dining hall there, we can cook our own meals, which I do. They take you to the store and you can get your stuff. There's a lot of different outings. They'll take you to like a farmer's market or something like that. If you have any special place you want to go, you have to go to the office and see if they'll go along or not. Other than that, they're pretty well set on the place they go. We get a monthly calendar here of all the events that are coming up. It has all the new people that's moving in that we get to know sooner or later. We're just one big, happy family around here as far as I'm concerned. It's not a brand new building, but they keep it up well around here. They have a groundskeeper, and they have the grass cut. They've got a contractor that comes in and cuts the grass all the time.

I'm a resident of Swanhaven Manor Retirement Community. I take care of myself. There are lots of different programs. I get meals delivered. I'm well taken care of, but I don't need somebody with me all the time. The staff members are very positive. It's just a super place. I'm very pleased with the company that runs the place and with the caretakers that I have that watch out for me. I don't need a lot of help, but they're here if I need them. They have bingo, cards and special programs where people come in and so forth. They do a super job.

I'm at Swanhaven Manor. It's going good. The staff is great. I can't complain whatsoever. Whenever I need something, they're here to help me out. I've been here for seven to eight years now. They have activities, but half the time, I can't go to them. They've got a beauty shop. I got everything I want in my apartment. I got all my furniture, and I got a kitchen table that's 100 years old from my great, great aunt. I love it here.

I like the idea that Swanhaven Manor is more of an independent style of living, so it would accommodate my need to be totally independent. It has a full kitchen that I can cook meals in for us, and everything is right at my fingertips as a caregiver. That's the biggest thing for me. Also, the fact that they have the best care ala carte so I can choose what type of care we need. The staff was very, very helpful, and very professional. They were not high pressure at all. Had they been, I would have walked out. They have a full kitchen, which is very important to me. They have a nice big laundry room on every floor that is very clean and spacious. The game rooms were very spacious. The location is in an area that is accessible to the shopping that I would need. Of course they're immaculately clean, but that's to be expected.

We toured Swanhaven Manor, but it wasn't as bright as where I'm at. I didn't care for it and neither did my daughter. What I didn't like about it was that everything was spread out so much. It was too much walking for me. That was one reason why I wouldn't have gone there. With the staff, I only met one girl and she was fine. They had a card room, exercise room, crafts, they had everything there. It was kind of weird because they have one room that was set up with furniture and everything, it was nice, and no one lived in there, and I just thought that it was kind of odd. In my current community they showed me several rooms and here it was just one room.

Swanhaven Manor was very pretty and very homey when you walk in. It had the same carpet as the place I'm working at, so it felt kind of being at home. The room I saw there was very nice. The place itself was very nice and it's ideal because it's near where I work, but it was just too independent. The staff who accommodated me during my tour was very professional, nice and answered all my questions. Their dining area was very nice too but there was nobody at the time because it wasn't lunch time. It was a very nice place and I like it because they had a patio area. They had a bus that would take their residents and they would do their little trips, and you just have to sign up for that.

Swanhaven Manor was very good and everything was wonderful. Their staff was wonderful and the place was very nice. I like it. I also like the fact that they have separate little cottages that you could go to instead of just being in the big building. They have a lot of activities going on, too. The staff who toured us was very helpful and accommodating. The place was very clean.

Beautiful rooms and grounds, very good food, friendly and caring staff, and friendly residents. The residents I spoke with have been there a long time and. are happy living there. The ONLY negative is that the rooms are a little smaller than I need.

Swanhaven Manor's staff seemed OK. The rooms were small for me. They're starting to get books in a small room where you could go read and do things. They had a lot of activities thatI thought would be good for my husband and myself.

Swan Haven Retirement is a little city within a city. A great place where something is always going on. Bingo, cards, parties, trips, bus outings, arts, crafts, holiday parties, movies. You are well cared, and our kind and loving staff—every day make a difference in our lives. I would NOT live anywhere else. Check us out—you'll be glad you did.

I really appreciate the kindness, thoughtfulness of the staff. They put our health, safety, and well-being above everything else. The community itself is absolutely wonderful. There are no strangers; everyone is welcoming and kind! This is home. The apartments are well put together and easy to get around. The atmosphere is pleasant and warm all around.

Swanhaven Manor is very nice. There is a lot of interaction with other people, good food, and good service. I am very happy. There is billiards, they have certain games, and they take trips to lunch and to certain stores. They have mass, movies -- probably 6, 7 things scheduled for each day. My room is wonderful, beautiful -- very roomy, clean, perfect.

We have made out our application and deposit at Swanhaven Manor. The staff was absolutely top notch. It’s a bright, happy, and clean place. The residents all invited us to move, and it was a plus. The meals are optional; you can eat in the facility or you can eat outside. We visited five different locations, and this was by far the best.

I visited Swanhaven Manor, which I like very much. The rooms were bigger there than they were at the other places. It wasn’t as expensive. It’s in the community that I live in. It’s closer to my home. It was almost as the same set-up as the other community. They have the laundry, the dining room, and the rooms. They have bus trips. On Wednesday, they go out for lunch. They do different things and all the different games. They have a craft room.
