My mother-in-law is in Bishop Hills Elder Care. We chose it because it's smaller and it's friendly. I had been there before visiting other people, and I've been there on and off for several years. It's always been nice. It's less expensive than the neighboring ones, and it's a very convenient location for us. It's assisted living, and if you need more help as time goes on, they will do more than assisted. I just don't agree with their COVID policy; I think it's a little strict. The staff is always friendly, always helpful, cheerful, and my mother-in-law tells me that they're nice and cheerful. She loves the food. They have bingo, art projects, and some exercises, and they're all optional; you're free to partake or not partake. It's an older building, but it's nice.

I toured Bishop Hills Elder Care two years ago, and almost signed up with them. I liked the fact that there was a lot of light, each room had nice big windows and meeting some of the people there, everybody seemed happy. I found that they were doing a lot of activities. I'm considering going back and seeing if I can get in there. It was the office manager that did the tour, and she was very pleasant about it. She spoke to the other clients there as we walked around, and she seemed nice. There is a sidewalk that goes around the building so that you can take long or short walks outside, and there's a little gathering place at the entryway.

My relative moved into Bishop Hills in Rockford, and it's been very good. The rooms and the dining area are very nice. She likes the food there. I don't know of any other activities, but she's doing crafts. The staff is very nice. Every time I talk to her, she would always say that the food is good. The facility is really nice.

I chose Bishop Hills because it was close to my daughter, and it's been pretty good. The rooms are OK, but the food needs to be updated. We have a hair salon, a lady who does nails, a library, and a dining hall. The place is nice and quiet.
