Rooms are small but comfortable, privacy is respected. There is always adequate staff and call lights answered promptly. Therapies are top notch. I wasn't able to walk when I was admitted and simple daily self cares were painful and difficult. Occupational therapy showed me how to transfer and get dressed the first day! Physical therapy is outstanding also. I enjoyed the food and the dining area, well lit with lots of windows, people to talk with during meals. The staff is well trained and very considerate. There is a beauty shop, big screen tv sets and activities for every interest. I particularly enjoyed the religious services they offered. Social services very efficient and made my discharge nearly painless. Arrangements were made for all of the equipment I would need to complete my recovery at home. There are pretty and restful areas to sit outside and family/visitors are made welcome. Medilodge of Monroe is in a quiet neighborhood. Management were also very considerate and eager to meet my needs. I was very well cared for by people who love what they do, and it shows

They had me sign paper work I could not see without consulting with my daughter released me without my medications the whole place smells like urine. They bring you whatever they make don't give you different options for meal times or ask if your allergic to anything. They take more then 20 mins when you push your call light. I can only get up with assisted help. I would not put my dog in this place. Another resident who is a MAN kept coming into my room several times this should not be happening. They need to take better care of the residents there I will be reporting them to several places.

The facility was very clean and up to date. Renovations had just been finished while my grandmother was there, making visits more comfortable. As much as I hated going to the nursing home, my visits were never really unpleasant. The staff was always very friendly and willing to help out if we needed anything. The day before my grandmother passed, the staff came to check on us, bringing us snacks and refreshments occasionally and seeing if there was anything that they could do for us. We were able to bring some of her belongings to make her more comfortable, such as her bird feeder. They allowed us to hang it outside her window. We new the nurses and aids by name as they knew us by name. I never felt unwelcome. The employees there seemed to treat my grandmother like she was a member of their own family. We had birthday parties for my grandmother and the staff was always very accommodating to our family. My grandmother was treated very well.

The facility was very clean and welcoming; the ambiance alone was peaceful and quiet. I was admitted a year ago for surgery recovery, though the location does specialize in elderly care as well. All staff I have come in contact with were professional and knowledgeable about my condition and took the time to listen to my requests, which included special equipment setup. I have been to several care facilities before, and this was by far the best of them. There was wireless internet available on-site, so I could keep in contact with my relatives and friends. Meals were basic but tasty, and there was always the option of having them adjusted to your personal preference (vegetarian, gluten-free etc). The room I stayed in was brightly lit and I did not have to share it with any of the other patients or residents, which gave me a nice degree of privacy.A masseuse is available at the facility on Mondays and Fridays, though I have not made use of her services and cannot vouch for the quality of the massages. Bathroom and shower facilities are nice and roomy with wheelchair access and decent water pressure. The only downside is the daily expense of staying there, which considering the amenities was not unfair but still quite surprising. Given the necessity, I would gladly stay there again.
