Lutheran Homes of Monroe is a very nice and well-kept community. The grounds are very nice, and they have a lot of activities for the residents there. When I was there, half of the room was playing Bingo and the other half of the room was playing another game. They also had smaller rooms for those people who didn't like group activities. It was a pretty impressive place.

My Father was put there, had good care, the girls were great until Easter Sunday he fell and didn't get an X-ray until 22 hours later they said he was fine but was in severe pain, laid there for five days and then took him to ER and he had a fractured pelvis on top and bottom, his oxygen tank was empty numerous times, and he's on 5 liters!!! Unfortunately it was a horrible experience for my Father. Also he has declined tremendously since the fall!!!

The Lutheran Home of Monroe is, by far, the most commendable nursing home/assisted-living facility in the area. I have visited this facility many times over a number of years, and the quality has been very consistent. The facility is kept very clean and is surprisingly very comfortable and inviting. The passion and warmth from the employees is very reassuring, and I know that my family is in good hands. They build real relationships with the residents and do not act as if they are simply just doing their job. The staff members organize events for the residents, and I have noticed that some staff members actually do this on their own personal time. When putting your loved ones under the care of another person, it can be quite nerve-wracking, however, I feel completely at ease knowing my loved ones are being well cared for at the Lutheran Home of Monroe.
