I am/was a resident of this facility

We came to Fountain View after an accident. The staff is amazing. We had the greatest care from the nursing staff, we had severe injuries and they took amazing care of us. Also our physical therapy was amazing. Greg and Terri did an amazing ing job getting us ready to return home and also strengthening our bodies for this task. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping and maintenance were always great at taking care of our needs. They worked with our case worker to order our equipment and get them in a timely manner.

Fountain View of Monroe was a nice place. They took good care of everybody there. I had a private room and an adjustable bed. They also had a hoist and everything to help me up when I couldn't get out of the bed by myself. The staff was just awesome and were very patient. Maintenance was good, too. I had a problem with my bed one time, and they did what they had to do to get the bed back up. As soon as they got it working, they got me into the wheelchair, took the bed out, got it fixed, and brought it back. The food was really good, too.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is a trying time not able to go in and visit my mother. The quick testing they're giving the patients there, most turn out to be positive. When visiting today my mother was asking for help and needed water. It took them a half hour to get her water. Then they put her to bed , gave her a drink. Then steped out of her room took off they're gear, walked back into the room and dispose it in the trash. Turn the light out and shut the door. She fail the other day and it took them 6 hours to call me.

Fountain View of Monroe was quite a nice facility and my mom is very happy with her care. The food is excellent and there's a very nice variety. The staff is wonderful. There's a therapist who takes my mom in the morning for therapy. He combs my mom's hair and spruces her up really nice on their way to therapy, and my mom just loves him. Everybody is very nice. They have social hour at 10 o'clock every day to meet and talk to other residents. They have some games and they'll help with games. Two or three times a week they have ice cream hour. They also have music several times a week where someone will come in to play an instrument or sing. They have an on-site salon and a couple times a week they will have a mini-manicure. They have different religious denominations that come in to do communion. The place is neat as a pin, and housekeeping is always available. I never see trash laying around anywhere.

Fountain View of Monroe was great. The place was really clean and well taken care of. All of the nurses and staff seemed like family. They were so good and took good care of me well. The food was not bad, but there were some issues, like sometimes the coffee wouldn't be hot. They had different kinds of activities, like somebody coming to sing. They had bowling games, bingo, worship, and Bible studies. Each room had its own TV. The dining room was set up really well with tables, and they would serve your food at your spot. The residents were great. In fact, I made a lot of friends in the three months that I was there. The guy who managed the place was a super nice guy and made sure things were taken care of. The physical therapists were really good, too.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

When my mother broke her leg, she suffered an alarming array of set-backs. Her decline was so extreme and rapid, we thought she would not last another month. Her combo of Alzheimer's and the colostomy bag, coupled with swallowing problems and the broken leg, made her ineligible for many facilities. Fountain View welcomed her & bent over backwards to give her excellent and immediate care. Their therapists have given her the strength to do things the surgeons told us would never be possible. Mom is happy there and we are all thankful to have found such a great place to help her heal and live a more comfortable life than she was able to do at home.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Grandmother is currently there. Looking quickly to move her somewhere else. They lost her dentures; she is diabetic and they continue to "forget" to update her dietary needs for the last several days. She can't eat solid food or breads yet that was what they keep sending to her room vs puréed foods...I had to go to the kitchen to ask for puréed foods. Food delivery girl was rough moving her oxygen tubes on her face. My grandmother tried to stop her and this woman got sarcastic with her. my uncle has complained several times about the staffs lackadaisical attitudes or concerns. They've lost her clothing that they insisted they needed to launder. Maybe the night staff is not happy about being there, but my 86 year old grandmother, I'm sure, would rather be at home too. This place used to have caring staff but not any more! Strongly recommend you place a baby cam in your loved ones room so you can keep an eye on your loved one and her things!

Fountain View is small, but newer. The staff seem to be very nice. They bring the dementia patients out every day to do puzzles and socialize. They try not to keep them in their room as much as possible.

Other

My 87 year old mother stayed at Fountainview while recovering from a fall in her home. The staff was always caring, and very willing to answer all of our questions. They even arranged for her care after she went home. I would recommend Fountainview to anybody looking for after hospital rehabilitation.
