My father is in Marywood Nursing Care Center. His room is very clean, well kept, and smells very good. The residents are on a higher level of care. He is in a laid back chair, and he can't move his legs or his arms. The staff is wonderful. They're great and we don't have any complaints at all with their responsiveness or with our wishes that we want things done for him. The food is very good. They puree food for him and it's very good. The food is excellent. They have a therapy room and a family room if you want to have a birthday party or have privacy. It's wonderful. The price is kind of in-between, but for the care that they give, it's wonderful because he has to have 24-hour care.

This place is horrible,If your loved one is going to need special care then do not come here. They take hours to answer a call light. My Mother was left in a soiled diaper for 12 hours a day which caused urinary track infections, one after the other. My Mother had a horrible rash on her bottom,She had bed sores. The food is nasty,The aids are rude and The director of nursing has no bussiness being in that field of work,Run ,don't walk from this place.

Rooms are clean as well as the facility overall. Staff was friendly to family and decent toward my mom except for evening/night care was very poor. She fell and hit her head because no assistance. Lack of staff and very poor communication with family!!

They do not answer call lights for long periods. Would find fanpmily member sitting in wet clothes despite finding the assist light on. The staffing is limited and the nurses under staffed. Very unhappy employees . The food is horrible too. I can’t believe anyone would leave family members to be subject to being ignored by staff. There are no activities. People are warehoused here.

I would be on high alert with my loved one at any facility after our experience at Marywood. My mom was allowed to use the restroom without help four days after hip replacement. The aide watched her fall to the floor. On another day, my mother was in extreme pain and called the nurse’s station and no one came to check on her. My mother had to call my brother and HE called the nurse’s station! When they finally checked on her, she was rushed to St. Mary’s and ended up being diagnosed with bleeding ulcers.

This place is great if you don't need medical care. It is clean and very nice. They tell you the Doctor is seeing your loved one, but the Doctor never does. My mother was literally left to die as the nurses pretended to care. The aids tried to help to no avail as they didn't know what to do. We had to remove my mother literally by force by calling 911 and taken to the hospital with sepsis from a urinary tract infection and pneumonia. The ambulance transport team looked at my mother and told me that I should write a complaint when they saw her. Before we called 911, I had asked the nurse if her urine sample was returned, I was told that my mother was no better than the other patients and that I had to wait my turn. This is the same nurse that I insisted would not be near my mother as she left her without oxygen for 4 hours from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. a few days before. When I confronted her, she told me that she was off for two days and that her shift started at 7 a.m. My mother coded at the hospital the day after she was transferred and died 2 days later. My heart breaks as I am the one who took her to this place because of the positive reviews.

My mom was in Marywood before. It was very good; that's why I tried to get her back in there again. She was there for rehabilitation because she couldn't walk after she got out of the hospital. The staff was very good. Everything about it was very good. They give good care. It was very clean. It was close to our house. Some of the food was really good, and some was mediocre, but she didn't really complain about it too much.

This facility is very clean. It provides high quality nursing care. I am an ICU nurse and am qualified to address this issue. They are a very conscientious group of health care providers including PT, OT, and nursing. It is a a warm environment that treats people with respect, including family and friends. The food is not so good but they make every attempt to provide alternative choices.

The staff were friendly, and helped my friend's grandpa a lot. Upon entering the facility, I noticed it was really well kept and there was a woman at the front desk to greet us. We then stayed in the waiting room for a while, and joined my friends' grandpa for his physical therapy session. Her grandpa can hardly move out of his wheelchair, and the staff were helping him to get on the bed and off with a wooden slide. They even showed my friend how she can get him back and forth between the bed and off. He also did some arm exercises with help from one of the nurses. The facility was clean, and the menu had many options for him to choose from. Every day there was a new menu selection. The room where my friends' grandpa was staying in had a big window, and an attached bathroom. He had one other person staying in the room attached opposite to him. All in all, I think my friends' grandpa feels cozy and safe at Marywood Nursing Care Center, as the staff and facility itself offers good amenities.
