Whispering Pines was a nice and quiet place. It was a communal senior living facility, which allowed the seniors to have daily interaction and support. Dining was included, medical care, and the ability to see a physician. Before Covid, they offered the opportunity to take their seniors to off-campus activities as well.

My mother-in-law was at Whispering Pines for only maybe two weeks before she broke her hip, and then when she got back from the hospital it just went downhill. They really took good care of her, but it went real fast. She helped with cleaning the rooms because she liked doing that. The experience was good until she broke her hip. After that she won’t eat, and they won't try to get her to eat. The staff was great. They were really friendly. They took good care of all the patients because I'd be up there almost everyday with her. They’re really helpful. Anything I needed or any questions I want answered they answered for me. It was very clean and very spacious. I think there were between thirteen and seventeen patients there at that time. They had at least three staff during the day and then two at night. They had my mother-in-law where they could watch her all the time and make sure that she was OK. I’d recommend Whispering Pines to give friendly care. They’re capable of taking care of patients with dementia. To tell the truth, I didn’t see that many activities going on. I think they could’ve had more activities for residents, maybe dancing, music playing, or maybe exercise groups. I believe that music, especially older music, really helps the patients. The majority of the patients when she was there were all in their later stages of dementia, and so they won’t be able to do a lot of activities with most of them anyway.

Each resident in Whispering Pines is treated very individually, no matter what level they're at. They're very interactive with the residents all the time. It's an excellent facility.
