I went to Waterford Place. They have a memory unit, regular nursing care, they have condominiums, and there's a continuum of care. It's pretty new, it's beautifully located, lots of parking, and they really seem to care for the people. The staff is caring, and they all seemed so pleasant. I have been there many times. They have a little cafeteria. Before COVID hit we used to take my friend there, and we would go and have lunch, it was reasonable, it was free for the person living there, but it was very tasty, it wasn't anything fancy, and it was very good. My friend described it and it tastes like homemade. I have been impressed that with my girlfriend, she lives in a closed unit, but she's always involved in something when I come, always, there's something going on. You can take people and they have a pond there, and you can walk around that, which she really enjoys.

We visited Waterford Place in person and we were pleased with it. The apartments were very new and fresh, it's a brand-new development, and I guess that's what impressed us the most. The staff was very professional and very helpful. It's all new. They're still in the development stage.

Waterford Place was a beautiful facility, I was impressed with their programs, and the rooms themselves. They do a lot of training for dementia patients. The rooms were nice, they have large bathrooms, every room I saw faced a courtyard, and they had a nice view. They had a lot of group outings, their staff to patient ratio was higher than others, and they had a kitchen area where you can come in and make meals with their loved ones.

We placed Dad in Waterford Place and it's a very nice and brand-new place. We were told that anytime we want to join dad for meals, we're able to do that for a very small cost. Where Dad is at in the assisted living, the dining area is not really big, but it's adequately spaced. They do have another dining area in the independent side that's very large and looks like a restaurant. My dad can also go there with guests and we're also able to have a meal there at a very low cost. Where Dad is at, they have bingo quite often, movie night once a week, and outings. They also have cookouts. Everyone that we've talked to has been more than happy to do anything and everything that they can to make Dad comfortable. They answer all his questions and try to get him as adjusted as possible. For the overall care and their willingness to go above and beyond, I think it's adequately priced.

Waterford Place was absolutely gorgeous. It’s brand-new, has a pool, has a lot of exercise facilities, and wonderful food menu. We were invited to eat there. We ate cake, and other stuff; but it was very expensive. It doubled everything else. It was like $8,000 a month. I don’t know anyone who could afford it. For someone who could afford it; that would be like a five-star. It’s like staying at a resort. We just did a tour with the staff. It was more of an organized tour, a group tour because it was a grand opening. I liked a lot of it. The only thing was some of the rooms, in a way I guess, were kind of very hospital-like. I think that was probably the assisted-living that was more hospital-like. It’s a nice area, and surrounded by three streets. To me it’s seems more like a really nice hotel. The people seemed to be friendly, the people that live there were younger, and weren’t unhealthy. They had verandas that you could sit in.
