My mom moved in to Gracewood memory care about a month ago. Our family loves the facility. Joanne, the house manager, and the staff are amazing. They all are very helpful, and available at any time. The residents do have activities, such as bingo. They have a house doctor at the facility, and she is great. The rooms are very large and nice. We are very thankful to have found such a nice facility for our mom. She is comfortable there, and we are happy she is in a safe, nurturing, loving environment.

Highland Assisted Living and Memory Care seem to have a pretty good program in place. They do the laundry. They offer three meals a day. They take the medicine and give it to the residents. They were good people. We sat down with the manager of the place and talked to him for an hour. They have other leisure-time activities. There are two people in a room. In comparison with some places where a person could go outside and walk around, here they can't do that. They have a porch that they can go out on, but there's no outside walking around or anything like that. There's no smoking here.

My mother has been in 5 different facilities since she has become dependent from a fall a few years ago and in need of constant care. She now has severe dementia. A friend of the family told us about Highland so we decided to try it since we were dissatisfied with the other places. Our mother has had wonderful care and always receives the much needed attention and care that she requires with her condition. I would highly recommend Highland and our family is very happy and grateful for all the love/kindness and attention that she receives there. It's a very comforting feeling to know she is in such good caring hands.

I was able to visit Highland Alzheimer's Care Residence, and I didn’t like this facility. It’s an older facility, and it just didn’t seem very clean. The director was very nice and helpful to me, but I wasn’t just impressed with the facility at all. I don’t remember much of their activities, but it seemed very crowded, and it wasn’t a place where I wanted my wife to be.

Highland Alzheimer's Care locaated in Jackson Michigan is an outstanding Alzheimer's Care facility. The staff and care there is truly remarkable. They have a chef on staff. Some people question, "Why have a chef". Well, why not? The food is incredible, The residents and their families enjoy it. Also, because of the quality of the food, the residents health usually increases and they are able to stay where they are in their disease a little longer. Highland Alzheimer's Care care for those who are experiencing the last stages of the Alheimer's disease and also, they are able to care for those who have developed behaviour problems. Highland is able to take these wonderful people and provide a quality of life that they could not experience at home or elsewhere. The staff is trained on monthly on-going basis. They are highly trained to redirect the residents when they are in a sad or questioning mood. They are Angels. God Bless the staff at Highland Alzhiemer's Care.

They specialize in Alzhimer care. I'm my mother's sole caregiver. Mom was going there one weekend each month. We only took her three times. On her third weekend visit, mom had fallen and I was called. The story the employees gave me was impossiable for my mother to have done. I was told my mother had gotten up and was brushing her teeth in the bathroom. My mother dosn't have the ability to do this and she wouldn't know which item was her toothpaste either. All of my mom's personal needs are done by me for her. I questioned the staff and the story of how her fall happened changed three times. I will add that they had recently added new staff. This could have been part of the problem. Anyway, still the sole caregiver for my mother. I'm aware that accidents can happen here also, but I love her and they see her as a job. Other than that they seemed to be very nice people.
