Do not bring your loved one here. The facility may look good and the sales pitch is very convincing but the reality is that this facility is understaffed by primarily uncaring, cold individuals. The menu does not match what the residents are given. My dad was there three weeks before his sheets were changed. He was not showered regularly. We had to really push to get his medication administered properly. His thyroid pill must be taken alone and they would just give it to him with his other meds, stating that was the way they do things. We insisted he be given it properly so the solution was to wake him up every single day at 5 a.m. to give him this one pill. It felt punitive and cruel. I would literally let him live on his own before I would ever bring him back here.

My mother will be moving into Bella Vita Senior Living - Grand Blanc. It's a nice facility. The people were really great, and they got on-staff help. There weren't a lot of people. There were like only 30 people in the whole facility. They had visiting spaces, a nice dining area, suites, an indoor movie theater, and a chapel. The other half was memory, which was totally separate from assisted. They have 24-hour care and an RN on-staff the whole time. They pretty much got the whole nine yards plus some. Her room is 800 square feet, and it's nice with tall ceilings. Basically, they have three different sizes, and they are all on the big side. They got a suite with a bedroom off to the side, a suite with a bedroom and a sitting room and a smaller suite. They can move their own furniture in and things like that, which I thought was important. The owner was really nice. They did really well. It's a nice facility, and it's all on one floor.

We've chosen Bella Vita Senior Living for my mother. We liked it for the pricing, the staff, and the owner that toured us. We were overwhelmed in a pleasant way with what they had to offer. We saw a private bedroom. They showed us the whole grounds, garden, dining hall, and everything that there was to see. I feel confident that my mom will be safe. I have no worries of her wandering away.

Our family member’s care here was horrible! A medical problem they let go on for approximately 4 weeks, had to make an appt with an outside dr to get it taken care of. They missed a couple of times giving medication saying “they were busy” which is not an excuse! The memory care has no locks on room doors and other residents wonder in during the night. They also do not allow weekend visits. Memory care residents also do not have phones in their rooms and calling bella vita and getting them to have your family member call back can take 2-3 days! Weekends are a free for all, and calling there on weekends residents have answered the phone, including our family member. Finding a worker there is another problem, our family member said that finding one when you need one is almost impossible, this place is a joke, do not put a family member at bella vita We found a wonderful place for our family member and are so relieved to have them out of here!

Bella Vita of Grand Blanc and some of the medical management have been under investigation by the state of Michigan since it opened. The facility is consistently understaffed and the staff has not been trained correctly. Employee turnover is extremely high. I would not recommend this facility.

My father-in-law has moved into Bella Vita. It is assisted living and memory care. The place is very clean and decorated well. It is good, but they're fairly new, so they're trying to get certain staffing issues in order. Overall, it is a nice place. The grounds are perfect. They have the location very well landscaped. There is a garden outside, which is completely enclosed. It is open at the top, but residents can go in and sit there. They have nice furniture out there too. They have a garden for the community that the chef uses to cook the food; it is pretty cool. They also have a hair salon and a movie theater. They do activities on a daily basis. They do memory games and all kinds of activities, like tossing a balloon around. The food is very good. They're willing to work with what income my father-in-law has. It is all one price inclusive for everything you need.
