I had my mom at The Pines of Goodrich for about four months. It's good for anybody looking for a place for their parents or relatives. They treated us well there. She had a private room there and she was never able to go out, but they have a dining room and then a porch outside. We could take her out there. She never really felt good enough to enjoy the rest of the people, but they were good to her there. They had one building that was just for people that kind of needed help or maybe just try to get a little stronger to go home. The other building had memory care for people that might be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's. They were very helpful, and we had hospice come in and help because mom just wasn't able to get stronger. They were good to us and her. The rooms were nice. They had just gotten new carpeting when we moved her in there. They were very clean and they always took care of her. They had a living room where they had a big TV if you wanted to go out and watch. They had people doing puzzles. They were clean and they always made good food for her. She would push the button for help and they would be right in there to help her with whatever she needed. Everybody that was in there was wonderful. They always kept my mom's room clean and her clean. Everything was always nice. The staff was always very nice. They would come in and talk to us and let us know how she was doing or if we had any questions, they were always willing to talk to us. Compared to all the other pricing, they were probably right there because she needed probably the most care that anybody could have. They were always there to help her. There was never any time when they just ignored her or didn't help her with her needs.

I did not have a good feeling about the Pines of Goodrich. I was late, someone else took me on the tour, and probably that person was not as knowledgeable. It could have been brighter, it was clean, but I didn't see people out. They were not enjoying anything and everyone was in their room. However, when you pull up the place, it looked very nice, and when you walked in, it looked nice. I think their dining room, and classroom were one and the same. It felt homey.

My mother-in-law is a resident of The Pines of Goodrich. It is great; it is very nice. The staff members are wonderful. They provide around-the-clock care. My mother-in-law's room is spacious, beautiful, and very clean. Their dining area is very nice, clean, and accommodating. Their dining area is wonderful and more like a restaurant. It is a real gathering place. The food is good too. We never have to worry about my mother-in-law there. They're all wonderful, they know her, and they know us. It has been a real relief. The activities are very nice. It is pretty pricey, but it is worth it.

My dad moved into the memory care section in The Pines of Goodrich. Theyre able to take care of his needs, and it's almost like they can offer some of the services in a nursing home. I'm pretty happy with the staff. I like how clean the place is.

My loved on is in The Pines for about a week, and she's perfectly happy in a nice-sized, single room with a private bath. The staff is very courteous, and the food is very satisfactory.

After a lengthy search for a place to put our dad, my mom chose this facility due to looks and location. Do not place a loved one here for these reasons, you will be sadly disappointed. Constant staff turnover, lack of overall knowledge and concern are apparent if you have a loved one living in this facility. Pretty doesn't mean quality care. There have been good caregivers in this facility for certain, but they move on quickly. Until a loved one is involved in a home, it is impossible to judge it, but be certain The Pines lack the necessary resident involvement to adequately care for them in all ways.

I’ve been to several different places, and the food is about the best here at The Pines. The staff is concerned about the people living here. I don’t have any complaints about them; they do a good job. I am impressed most by the personality and the help from most of the people who work here. They don't have any activities, and it's a small place, but it's very clean, the food is good, and they're very accommodating if you want to have something or do something.

My mom is at The Pines of Goodrich. It is a nice facility. However, the caregivers come and go as in any other facilities, and it is higher priced. Their rooms are centered around the common and dining areas so that the seniors won’t get confused and can find their way around easily. They have big rooms with a bedroom and a private bath. When they can keep good caregivers, they know all of the residents and all of their needs. They know them by name because there are not a lot of residents. The staff has better rapport with the residents. Regarding the meals, there are not many choices. The dining area is spacious and nice. It is nicely decorated and well kept. As far as a living space, you couldn’t ask for more. They have a patio in the back, so the seniors can go out there and sit. They have a quiet room where they can play games and a theater room where they show movies. They offer pretty much everyhing that the other bigger facilites offer.

My mother is at The Pines of Goodrich. The staff was very friendly and caring. When we go in there to visit my mom, they come out to greet us. They are always looking out for the residents. There aren't any apartments, only rooms because it's memory care. They each have a large window where you can put pictures or mementos to have something for the residents to feel at home there. The bathrooms are large and handicap accessible. Their dining room is set up with a number of square tables. They bring out the meals, and the meat is already cut for the residents, so they don’t have to worry about trying to cut it themselves.

My father is in The Pines of Goodrich. We picked it because it's only a mile away from home. It's a new and beautiful facility, but I feel they cater more to people looking for a place because it is pretty. They don't give bad care, but for the $5000 a month that my mother pays for my dad to be there, I don't think he gets what we pay for. I looked at his teeth the other day -- especially on one side -- and they were dirty. They're supposed to take care of oral hygiene. When he was at the assisted living right across the parking lot, the girls took more pride in how they cared for their patients. Their rooms were always clean looking. Everything was picked up. That's not necessarily the case now. The rooms aren't dirty, but it's disheveled. They leave the lights on, and they leave the drawers open. When you pay that much, you expect everything to be topnotch, including the way that they care for the patient's housing. I want to see my dad in a place that's as clean and as well kept as my mom kept it. He's not getting bad care by any means, but sometimes he looks kind of frumpy. I'd look to see a little bit more one-on-one with the patients. He's got dementia, but he still interacts with you, and he can still talk. They do a few little things with them but nothing that I consider worthy of the money that my mom is paying to keep him there. Overall, I don't think that it's anything worth $5000. He got a little better care at the assisted living than he gets here. He was cleaner looking in terms of his clothing. Their housekeeping needs to be improved, and the one-on-one to patients might need to be improved a little bit. For that kind of money, it would be nice to see a little bit more care and regard for the patient that's in there.

My mom is living at The Pines. I liked the people, the layout of the facility, and the price. It was very homey, and it didn’t feel like a nursing home. It’s an assisted living. It’s very comfortable, too. She has the same bedroom setup she had in her house. I was able to bring her furniture over if I wanted, or use what they have. The food seems to be just fine. It’s a little more relaxed, too. When you get up, they’ll find you something to eat. They do arts and crafts and some things outside. They have a garden area, so they have lots to do.
