My mother-in-law has been a resident of the Willows at East Lansing for a year and a half. It's a nice, very clean facility with nice rooms. The staff is nice, very personable, and the turnover is not high. The meals are pretty good for the most part. They try to have a monthly family gathering where you can do brunch, and overall, we're happy with the service. She's in a shared room with a closet that separates the bed, her recliner, and TV console, and she can hang personal pictures in her side of the room. She has a group that plays cards on Saturday nights, a bus can take them out, and she teaches crochet.

The Willows at East Lansing was a nice facility. The staff was nice, very helpful, and friendly. The facility was nice, clean, and homey. It was just that the other facility was a little bit more comfortable for me, but both would be facilities that I wouldn't hesitate to take my husband to. The layout was nice. I don't have anything bad to say about the facility from my visit that day.

My friend was at The Willows at East Lansing. I would not recommend that place. They placed her in memory care and left her in her room with no contact. The grounds were attractive. They allowed residents to hang bird feeders outside, which was helpful. Food was always cold and delayed. The medical staff was not existent. They told me they had ordered the chest X-rays she needed from their mobile X-ray unit. The X-ray unit never showed up. I had to take my friend to an urgent care facility to get her chest X-ray so she could move into another facility. They didn't have activities. It's expensive for what it provides. They left my friend in her room. She barely left her room after the start of Covid. And they made no effort to get her out of her room. They delivered her meals, and they were cold.

The Willows at East Lansing is a lovely building and facility. They were very helpful and looked like they gave very good care. I know the food is good because I'm familiar with their rehab facility. I was impressed. They had a dining room, activity rooms, and nice outside courtyards.

The Willows at East Lansing was very nice. The staff member who showed me around was very nice too. The place was just too big for my husband. The apartment I saw looked fine. The place is very new, nicely-decorated, and clean.

The rooms at The Willows at East Lansing were dark. Check-in was fine, but beyond that, it was just OK. The dining area was nice, but the food service was awful. I'd give the physical therapy a 3-star rating.

We liked The Willows at East Lansing. It was new and nice, but they didn’t have rooms that my parents would have been comfortable in. We considered maybe having them live in two rooms side by side, using one as a bedroom and one as a living space but decided against it because they didn't have two rooms side by side. We had to be on a waiting list. Their memory unit was in a different building on the property, and it probably would have required my parents to separate which we weren’t prepared to do. The staff was very knowledgeable. It was a lovely facility that looked like they had really nice programming and a nice area for exercise and rehabilitation.

They had memory care, and we knew that my mother-in-law needed memory care. The Willows had a lot more things that residents could do while living and just staying in the place. It had a garden that you could walk out on and do, and they had little stations of different things that people could work at or go to -- just a lot more activities that she could venture out of her room and do. It wasn't a large place, but it was really nice. They had street names for the hallways, and it was just very friendly.

The physical therapist sara doesnt understand her residents needs. She moves their arms around and talks to other people and doesn't pay attention to what shes doing. I watched for 20 mins while she worked on an elderly women and listened to her chitchat with the occupational therapist while her patient was trying to tell her she needed to go to the bathroom. The nursing staff is ok, the other therapists actively have smiles and cheerful attitudes and have conversations with their residents.

My mom is in The Willows at East Lansing, and she is in the legacy building for long-term care. We spoke to the head of the staff, the head of the health care clinic, and other people before we made our decision. They have a health clinic there with many nurses. They have nursing care as well, and they check on their people regularly. They do a great job. They take a vested interest in their patients, especially like my mom, who is really not outgoing, and they quickly respond to her. They tried really hard to put her into a room that was closer to the nursing station so that they can check on her regularly. The apartment is beautiful. It's like her own bedroom. We ate a meal, and the food was great. They are very good with the nutrition and with the activities.
