I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother stayed at Dimondale Nursing Care Center for a couple of months. They do the laundry. They serve three meals a day. They give them the medicine. There are certain rehabilitative activities. The expense was by far too great. It's too expensive. My brother is in a shared room. There were lots of activities. They had a television, movies, puzzles, and bingo. It's a new facility, and they've got everything there. Medicare pays part of it, and then there comes a time when they won't. It depends on the categorization. The staff members were professionals in skilled nursing and friendly people. The meals were good.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We were well taken care of at Dimondale Nursing & Rehab Center for my wife's rehab. The rooms were more aged but very adequate. They had everything; they had bingo, card games, they had an aquarium and birds, and they had a lot of activities. The food is very edible and the stuff is wonderful. They're too nice. The facility is aged but there's nothing wrong with it; it's a very adequate facility but it's not brand new.

I visited this facility

They were very unatentive. He wasnt cared for well. They would leave him unattended and in wet sheets and clothes for hours at a time until someone came to visit and then they would clean him up. They said that he wasnt capable of talking at all or every using the bathroom. Which all turned out to be false. The staff was not very friendly in addition to not being very attentive with their patients. They would give attitude about the fact that you were unsatisfied with the care that my grandfather was recieving. In addition to telling them about it the supervisors were informed and they didnt really seem to recieve the information well. Which was proven with the lack of improvment. we ulitmately had to request a transfer to another facility because the lack of cleanliness and care for patients. It was not just my relative that recieved poor care it was also other patients in rooms adjecient that were recieving poor care which i became aware of by talking to other family members.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

When I first visited the Dimondale Nursing Care Center I was impressed with the exterior look of the building. It appeared to be well cared for and the parking lot and grounds were clean and neat. Upon entering the facility I encountered several residents who seemed to be unattended near the entrance without any staff in sight. Although I am sure there are multiple residents that are able to care for themselves, this did concern me because of their proximity to the entrance and the possibility that they could leave without anyone knowing where they were. In addition it seems strange that visiting guests can just enter without having to provide any kind of identification or being asked if they need assistance. Other than that initial concern, the facility itself appeared to be clean and neat and the staff that I encountered were very friendly. There was a large lunchroom and I saw a couple of postings for upcoming events to it appears that the residents have the option to do different activites on different days.
