Need to throw out the Physical and Occupational therapy departments. Such a joke! Care conferences are run of the mill, not professional at all. Every assigned staff that handles the patient runs in the room you're in do not discuss plan of action and have very vague answers to your questions asked. Need more training for conferences and customer/patient appreciation. Mt nurses and CNAs were very kind

They do not watch high fall risk patients. And do not notify family when a fall happens. My father was there after surgery to his head because of a fall. He fell here on December 24, 2023 and no on notified me until I got there for a visit. The doctor supposedly was contacted and did not respond. I had to tell them to send him to hospital amd after test were performed there. He was bleeding in his head again. The nursing staff did not feel the need to notify me as soon as it happened because she was trying to get story together. (More information she days) If I had not gone to visit him I would not have known.

My dad was soaked with urine and bowel. I press the call button and waited over 40 minutes, no one answered the call. I stopped a nurse in the hall and voiced my concerns. Sadly, she never apologized or offered any type of empathy, compassion or desire to assit. The only thing she made clear to me was, :this wasn't her hall it belongs to another nurse" and how under staff the facility is at this time. Well if you're currently short staffed, why are you excepting new patients? GREED!!!! My dad is unable to feed himself and his food was sitting on his tray cold as ice. His potatoes looked like dried up play dough! Just sad! Our elders are people too. Unfortunately when they are in need of care, facilities like this one are only interested in profit and not the level of care that needed. So Sad!

I toured the Hartford Nursing and Rehabilitation. They have rehab, and they have nursing. In my recent visits there, I didn't see where they were as attentive as I thought they should be with some of the patients. I've visited other people that lived there. I didn't like the rooms they had or the quality of the beds. The impersonal setting was almost like a hospital. The people didn't seem to be able to put a real personal touch to their rooms. I've had some friends stay there. They had to be permanently there because their families couldn't take care of them at home. I didn't see where they were offering private rooms. I've noticed that they've done some additions to the complex, so I'm not certain what the additions were all about. OK, so they could be that they've stepped up their game quite a bit. I just haven't seen it. I have not seen that location in maybe a year or so. I remember that the activities director seemed to be outstanding. She constantly had something going on for them. She seemed to have a pretty good team to try to keep the patrons there encouraged. With the nursing staff itself, I didn't see the quality there that I would have hoped to have seen regarding some of the attitudes towards the people. There's definitely room for improvement. My sister liked the fact that they had a good activities director and good things for them to do. She really wasn't comfortable with the way the nursing staff attended to the needs. The food was not the best, but she liked it, and I saw that the therapy group was good. They came consistent. They were pretty good. The dining area was OK. I think they could have done a better job with it. I did see some things. The outer area looks better than some of the rooms that I saw. You know, the hallways and common areas were better maintained, but still not as well as I think they should have. At the time I saw it, I thought some of the carpet needed to be replaced. Some areas I thought could use a fresh coat of paint. For the most part, there might have been some dusting needed (maybe a little more than moderate dusting).

My mother was a resident in Hartford Nursing/Rehab Facility. They were very short of staff which they admitted to. She was there during COVID so we were not able to visit her. She was very unhappy. When she was discharge she was missing her dentures I told the discharge nurse and was told that she would locate and get back to me. I have been dealing with Hartford for 4 months and have been getting the runaround. The gist of the matter they will NOT pay for dentures, their excuse is that to much time has past and that they cannot trace back to the time of her discharge. I am truly dissatisfied with Hartford, one of their excuses is 'we cannot say what SHE did with her dentures.' My mother is 87 years old and could not walk. She was in Hartford care, their lack of her care and they're not taking responsibility for their error is inexcusable I would not recommend anyone taking their LOVE one to Hartford Nursing/ Rehab facility

My husband was at Hartford Nursing and Rehab Center for about 60 days. He was happy with the facility, the people who work there, the nurses, and everything. What he did not like were the restrictions on when they can have their rotation and all of that. He was real upset with those. There were no visitations. They had 14 days quarantine, and they were on different floors when he first came in. He was on the 3rd floor, and after the 14-day quarantine period, they moved him down to the 2nd floor, and he earned more privileges. He basically stayed in one room for the whole 14 days, and they brought him all his meals. When he was on the 2nd floor, he got to go to the gym for physical activities. The staff was very friendly and he got to know some of them on a first name basis. The workers were excellent. I'm giving them a 2 for the overall facilities because he didn't like the rules. They were pretty reasonable in terms of cost and efficiency. They were good.

My mother stayed at Hartford Rehabilitation Center for two and a half months in a shared room. The place was clean. I liked the fact that you could go any time of the day. The physical therapy, food, and rooms were good. However, they need to improve the younger staff.

I think that Hartford Nursing Center is an excellent choice for placement for someone who is looking for a skilled Nursing home for a friend or a family member. Their team of skilled Nurses, skilled and trained CENA's are very professional and they are also team, and task oriented in their job duties and their performances'. The facility is very pretty with blues and earth tone colors and very clean and do not smell. The food there is prepared by a professional culinary cook. The food their looks great and the food there is also very tasty as well. While there, I noticed that Hartford Nursing facility provide their residents with a vast majority of services, activities, recreations, and outside travel activities also. Their residents there are also treated like family. The facility is very beautiful interior and exterior with matching décor that is so satisfying, comfortable and very tasteful to the eye. It is ideal for any senior that is mobile or non "“mobile and are looking for a skilled Nursing Home would love it here, because their residents receive excellent care there. They also provide their residents with social entertainment so that their residents can interact and socialize with one another. I would recommend Hartford Nursing facility to any and every senior that is looking for an excellent skilled care facility for a friend or for a loved one that is mobile or non-mobile. The surrounding neighborhoods surrounding the facility is beautifully landscaped and very well structured and maintained as well. The facility is one of the most beautiful eye catching properties on West Outer Drive. Hartford Nursing facility sits back off too itself with acres of land greenery, and flowers. Hartford provides their residents with all the privacy that any senior can enjoy in the Metropolitan Detroit area. In general, I would rank this facility on a five stars rating for its expertise and excellence.
