I usually do not write reviews, however, I just have to say how kind, helpful, informative, etc. the people at this facility have been to my family member and myself. I was very distraught having to deal with the rehab/nursing home process. The staff at this facility walked me thru the process step by step. From the administration staff thru the day to day nurses, nurses aides, cleaners, etc. they've been nothing short of miracle workers for me and my family member. Thanks to all. Ms. Carter

My Uncle is currently a resident. My Mom has been trying to reach his Social Worker "Diamond" for over a week. When she asked forba Supervisor she was denied. My Uncle has Significant development delays and is 87 yrs old. We want him transferred! Can ANYONE PLEASE guide us in the right direction?

This is an awful place to send ur loved one. They treated our Dad like a homeless person. The staff didn't properly take care of him. With Covid and us not being able to see him the staff told us he was doing fine. June 1 when we were finally able to see him. He wasn't doing fine. He had enormous bed sores that was not properly treated. He came home June 8 with untreated bedsores. The wound are specialist told us Monday June 7 that his bedsores were healing which was a complete lie. His primary Dr looked at him on June 11 and we had to call the ambulance to take him back to the hospital to get treatment. If I could post the bedsores I would but they're too graphic. Now he has to have surgery. I don't appreciate how our Dad was treated and I don't recommend anyone send their Family to this place. We filed a complaint with the State. This place should be shut down or they need to hire a more carry staff

Heartland is awful and you should not consider this for yourself or a loved one. All places are short staffed, but my mom was dropped because they tried a one person transfer when 2 person was clearly called for. The staff are not good at communication. My mother was moved 3 times, taken to an emergency room twice (both unnecessary) and we were never notified. Covid among the staff - but we weren't notified until a week later (unless they had multiple outbreaks). The social worker did not assist with transfer in a timely manner, costing us several hundred dollars extra. Very distressing.

I would like to know what I need to do to get this facility to stop neglecting and ignoring my mother who is a patient there. She was transferred there from the hospital for REHAB. To get physical and occupational therapy with the goal to get her stronger so she can come back home. Instead they neglected her to the point where her blood sugar dipped so low that she became unresponsive. The blood sugar was so low that it was a CRITICAL VALUE. In the hospital a rapid response team is called overhead to tend that patient. They started an IV and long story short is they brought her back THIS TIME. I know a bit about critical lab values. I was a Respiratory Therapist for 37 years in a hospital. Mama complains that they bring in her tray and ignore her request to please open the containers and entree because her arms are so weak that she cant. The response is always the same : you can do it. I know this for a fact because I happen to be on the phone with Mom, on speaker and I heard it. So because she is not eating enough and she continues to get her diabetic meds the sugars continue to drop. Don't they check her blood sugars? I also requested that someone from her care team to call me as I want to get report on her Plan of Care. I am still waiting for that call. So I ask again, what do I have to do for my Mother to receive the care she needs.

This place is terrible. The staff are not friendly at all. The patient call lights are constantly being ignored. The staff are rude. The only good thing I can say about this facility is the residents they always speak to me every time I come visit my love one. The day before I moved my loved one in.,another family member of another resident was coming out. I asked how did she like this facility and she said it's ok but the staff are rude and not friendly at all. Sorry to say she ways on point.

My dad stayed at Heartland Health Care. It's miserable and very bad over there. The beds are bad and the medical care is the worst that you can imagine. We called the doctor that was supposed to be on call that night at least seven times because my dad's blood pressure was going up, and they wouldn't administer any medicine without the doctor calling them, but the doctor didn't get back with them. I had to take my dad out at my own responsibility at 2:00 in the morning back to the hospital in an ambulance. It was horrible. We were bringing him food from home because he didn't like their food. He wasn't eating at all. His room was very bad. Mattresses are so horrible that if you sit on it, you'd sink. I don't know how an old person would be able to get out of bed with the mattress' condition. It's not comfortable. They had three beds in one room and there's no sense of privacy. They are very poor. I feel so bad to say it, but they were really horrible.

Heartland Health Care Center was referred by the hospital. Actually, this is the third time for my sister. They always treat her very nice. The place is very clean, the staff is professional, and they have a doctor on site. She get nice physical therapy and psychological counseling. She also get therapy with her memory because she has an early stage dementia. Her primary doctor prescribed a certain type of medicine. But all of a sudden they decided she didn't need it anymore and they want to do it their way. I didn't like that, because I thought my sister's primary doctor who she has been with for years knew more about her medical condition. But they are the professionals and I'm not. I can't override what they say.
