I ended up putting Mom in St Mary Health Care Center. It's a rehab and skilled nursing with a memory care unit as well. She is in the memory care unit. She's been there a short time. Rehab and memory care were one of the reasons why I chose them, they had both. The grounds are fine. It's very clean and very welcoming. When you go in, the people are very welcoming. I know that in the past it has been known that the area where this building is, is not good in Worcester, but they've been cleaning up the City of Worcester. They also have a daycare there where pre-COVID, they used to intermingle the kids with the seniors. They have not been able to get back to that with COVID still being the way it is. The senior residents don't leave the building. It's a very safe building. The unit she's on, the memory care, they can't get on the elevators. The employees are very interactive with the residents. They don't let them stay in their room. They have crafts. They bring in entertainment. They have exercise. They have a rehab center, so I'm sure that's where they have the exercise. They have a glass room that you could bring them in. They have an outdoor garden area where in the nice weather you could bring them. Worcester has several colleges and they have college students that volunteer and spend time with them. The staff is great. She eats everything. She is on a mashed diet. She's 95 years old, and she gets tired quickly from chewing, so all of her diet is blended, but she's very happy with what she's got. I haven't seen anything out of order to date.

My mother in law is currently a resident here and she is taken wonderful care of. She raves about the food and how nice everyone is, all staff. When I visit she looks well groomed, happy considering her illness. The facility is kept very clean. With the COVID upon us St. Mary's has taken extreme measures to see the the residents are all safe. I would recommend this facility to people. :)

Our family found this hidden gem through a friend at first I was hesitant as I thought no one will love and care for my husband how I do, boy was I wrong my husband is very well taken care of he resides on 4th floor the manager there Emily is lovely, very caring, makes sure things get done, always communicates well with my family, she is approachable. She’s been nothing but an angel to my husband and family since the day we went to tour the building. The aids on the unit are very nice and work so hard, friendly and care for the residents there. I have been extremely satisfied with the care provided. The patio and green house are absolutely gorgeous. There’s a park right next door that residents are taken to for walks and strolls. I’m glad I chose this facility . My husband is content there.

The rooms are good size....not huge but bigger than other places. The staff is pleasant and friendly and they have smiles on their faces that show they are happy working here. They are very compassionate and caring and they all work together with the family as a team! The Administrator is so friendly and if you have a problem she and everyone involved will work together to rectify the situation! Stop by her office to say hello....she loves that and you will be happy you did! The Admissions director is very personable and will make your experience at St. Mary very pleasant! She will be your long lasting friend as will everyone! St. Mary Health Care Center is a super clean facility. The floors, restrooms, etc are sparkling. Kudos to housekeeping....thank you for keeping the facility smelling fresh! I have my dad and my mother in law in this facility and I could not be happier. They are also happy being at St. Mary's. They really enjoy playing Bingo and listening to the musicians that come in from time to time. The facility is located in the heart of Worcester MA and is up on a hill and somewhat secluded and very safe! They have a brand new park that the facility has access to through a locked gate from their parking lot that the residents can enjoy in the nice weather. It's really beautiful! They have a beautiful sunroom off the dining room and a private patio off the sunroom with benches, tables and umbrellas....in the nicer weather of course. So before you make any decision on where to place your loved one please check out St. Mary's...go for a visit...you won't be dissapointed!

I have visited a friend here many times. The place is very clean and quiet most days. The food looked good too. I know it's difficult to care for the elderly and the aides don't get paid enough. The staff seemed busy, and at times not enough staff to go around.overall I would recommend. Everyone seems happy, busy and content. The area isn't as bad as I thought and very safe.

Wouldn't send my enemy there, sorry! The staff are inconsistent. A few are outstanding. The rest walk about like slugs. Patients wait 15 to 20 minutes to go to the toilet. Safety buzzers go off and no one comes running. The cna's keep there gloves on after helping in the bathroom and they wear the gloves out of the room they were in. Very poor care and uneducated staff. The board of health should definitely visit here.

I visited this nursing home a few times over the span of months. I was a volunteer, and helped to run activities for the residents, ranging from bingo, card games, or simply talking sports with some of the men. The facility was pretty decent looking, and you can see that a good majority of the residents were in good spirits. There were some who seemed miserable, but I feel like there is always going to be a case of not being able to make everyone happy. They were able to enjoy the activities that were allowed to them, and snacks and drinks were provided, along with small amounts of prizes for when bingo was played. I enjoyed my time at this nursing home much more than I had expected to, which is why I continued to go back for volunteering. The staff seemed to be good with the residents, and although they were not always the most patient with them, as an outsider who did not deal with these people day after day, they had a good temperament.
