The facility that my father was in was called AVIVA Country Club Heights. I initially chose it because I liked the people that I talked to. I thought they were very nice. The physical appearance was good. They were good at keeping it up physically. However, they didn't have enough staffing. They had a lot of unfilled positions. My father was in memory care. I tried their food, and it was unappealing and didn't taste good. But they had sing-alongs for activities. One thing I liked was their pool table.

Dad chose this place before Aviva took over. Once they did and dad went from independent to assisted, the staff changed how they treated him. The on call staff and night staff are neglectful. Dad unfortunately had to go to memory care and the care and treatment got worse If you truly care for your family do not have them in this place for assisted or memory care

I toured AVIVA Country Club Heights. The staff was excellent and very professional and answered lots of questions. They were in touch with me since then, not in a bothersome way but in a very respectful way. The facility had a nice vibe to it. It seemed very active. I visited on a Saturday and was just impressed by seeing the movement of all the residents around. It just looked more like a regular apartment building community than a senior residence. So that was all great. However, there are no outdoor greenspaces that residents have access to. It's very much like a medical campus, so it's mostly asphalt around the building and has no walking paths or anything. No real greenspace where residents can enjoy themselves. It abuts a golf course, so it looks like there's green space, which is nice visually, but physically for my parents who are used to walking around and being able to visit gardens and plant vegetables, that was one of the shortcomings. I saw folks doing a Zumba class, which they seem to be enjoying. The rooms were neat, clean, organized, and had all the basics. The rooms that looked out onto the golf course were a little bit more appealing just because the view was pretty. They were clean, nice and had everything you could need, too. However, the showers had a little lift on them. Those would not be great for somebody in a wheelchair. That was a concern just because of tripping hazards. It wasn't a big lift, but maybe three or four inches as opposed to a real straight-through walk-in. The elevators concerned me a little bit, too.

My mom is at Brightview Country Club Heights. The place, as expected, has nice accommodations. The common areas are pleasantly appointed, and my mom's apartment is very spacious. The staff is wonderful and very helpful from the move-in transition standpoint. My mom has nothing but nice things to say about every staff member she deals with. They've been limited due to Covid, but they do have bingo, card games, and travel programs where they do videos and things like that on different travel destinations. They also have daily movies and a book club. They have a social hour, too. Those are the five or six that kind of come to mind immediately. My mom says the food is excellent.

We're pursuing Country Club Heights. They have big rooms with full kitchens, and the staff member who gave the tour was great. I chose them because they're close to my parents' house and there are only a few places with a two-bedroom that also has a full kitchen, and they have that. Their staff was great, and their activities were also great. The living atmosphere was friendly with lots of light, lots of open space and activities, and windows. It was very cheerful.

We visited Country Club Heights. It was very open and welcoming. The staff there was incredibly kind. They went over the top. They showed us the place. The manager sat down and talked to us for about an hour and a half. When we left, he gave us a wonderful little gift, which was homemade bread and it was really nice. The rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean. It was spotless. We tried the food and it was very nice. Their dining area was very pleasant and open. The waiters and waitresses were very accommodating.

Country Club Heights is a converted apartment building. They have been making a lot of improvements there. It was bigger at the time my friend was there. She enjoyed the food. She wouldn't have left this place, however, they were going to relocate her to a memory care unit and the room they had for her was very small and it was uncomfortable for her.
