Mom stayed at Christopher Heights of Webster. It is beautiful. It's like walking into a beautiful hotel entrance. The rooms are nice. The food is great. The employees are really good. The majority of the people that I dealt with are good and are trying to stay on top of things. They have a lot of activities. Every single day, they have something going on. They've got exercise, bingo, social hour in the pub, movie night, and they've brought in entertainment. It's like you live in your own apartment and they supply entertainment and activities.

Almost 11 years ago my mother made the decision to call Christopher Heights of Webster her home, a decision she has remained very happy with! She will be turning 101 years old in 2 weeks and much of her longevity and level of daily independence can be credited to the wonderful care and support she has received over the years. The facility is beautiful and well maintained inside and out. The companions are the best, caring, responsive and supportive of individual needs. Administration is easily approachable, pleasant and responsive to my inquiries in a timely manner. Social activities were always plentiful up until the restrictions of Covid. More activities are slowly resuming while keeping residents safe. They celebrated my mother's 100 birthday with a memorable resident party that brought tears of joy to my Mom! It has been such piece of mind to know my mother has been well cared for, happy and safe while maintaining her independence in her later years.

My mother has been a resident of Christopher Heights for almost two years. My brother and I have been pleased with the care my mom has received while living there; we have experienced cooperation and felt a genuine caring from the companions towards the residents. I feel comfortable speaking directly to any of the staff and they have been excellent about keeping me in the loop and sharing any of their questions or concerns regarding my mother. The executive director was readily available when I asked to meet with him regarding a concern of mine. Mom's room was recently painted and a new rug had been installed prior to her moving into her studio apartment. Although studios are smaller, she is able to have a daybead, recliner, couch, dresser, TV and two end tables in her room! With all of that furniture, she is still able to move easily and navigate safely. The private bathroom is spacious and handicapped accessible; the efficiency kitchen provides a sink, microwave, refrigerator, and cabinets. There is a large closet that provides plenty of room for clothing and some storage. Housekeeping is provided and is outstanding! Care is provided 24 hours per day, and additional, resident-specific care can be arranged at an additional cost. Medication management is available as well as assistance with eating, dressing, bathing, etc. Laundry service is provided on a weekly basis. A variety of activities are available each day; residents can choose from an assortment of offerings and the staff seems eager to try introducing new activities based on resident interest. Computer opportunities are available and games, puzzles, books are plentiful as well. During the warmer weather, cookouts and concerts are scheduled outdoors! The menu is varied and there are always about four alternate choices if the meal being served is not to an individual's liking. I have not eaten there, but I check the menu daily when I visit and my mom tells me that she enjoys the food. Afternoon snacks are served regularly in the "pub". All of that being said, I do realize that sometimes it is not possible to satisfy all preferences. Dealing with Covid-19 has been a struggle for all facilities, but I cannot praise Christopher Heights enough for what they did to keep residents safe while keeping in mind that visits by family and friends was also an essential part of their residents wellness. It was difficult to choose an assisted living facility for my mother, but I am pleased that my mom is safe and being well-cared for. There truly is "no place like home", but Christopher Heights seems to be striving to make all residents feel comfortable and happy in their "home away from home".

I can't say enough positive things about Christopher Heights, they have met or exceeded all expectations in all areas of life. I had visited many assisted living facilities in my experience as both a traveling musician and visiting Hospice volunteer, and I felt this place was going to be a very good place for my mom to enjoy. I am very pleased to report that I am even more convinced that this place is more wonderful than I expected and continues to be to this day. There are many activities to get involved with if you choose, or if you're more interested in a quieter life, then that's ok too. They are very well cared for and looked after (in many cases better that at their own previous home). My mom has the autonomy she desires, and I have peace of mind of knowing she is safe and sound.

When it was determined that it was no longer safe for my Mom to remain in her beloved home, we chose Christopher Heights of Webster to be her new home. Upon entering Christopher Heights my Mom marveled about how beautiful it was (it was brilliantly decorated for Christmas) and said “Wow, this is like a fancy hotel.” My Mom’s initial sadness about leaving her home quickly disappeared when she became engaged with people her own age, the plentiful activities at Christopher Heights, such as Bingo, trivia, sing-alongs and her favorite, the live entertainment. Compassionate companions attend to my mother’s needs, taking her to the dining hall for prepared meals that she loves, keeping her room clean, assisting her daily needs and showing great concern for her safety. I unequivocally recommend Christopher Heights of Webster as a top notch assisted living facility.

We visited Christopher Heights of Webster assisted living. There were pros and cons. I liked that when my mom had spent down her assets, she would be able to get flipped to MassHealth and Medicaid and remain in the community and the room that she was residing in. Even after she spent down her money, as long as she was safe to be there, she didn't have to transition to a nursing home. What I didn't like was having no options right off the bat, going in the room choice. We wanted their normal-sized studio, they at least give her a little space so she could have her bed, she could have a little table and chairs in the little sitting area. The only studio they would offer to us coming in was extremely tiny. It was like the smallest little box that she could barely move in. We asked if we could go on a waitlist and get into a larger studio but it seemed to be that was the only option that they would provide for her coming in and they would allow her to go on a list if one came available. But if a larger room didn't become available and she had spent down her money at the time it came available, they wouldn't move her. She would have to live the rest of her life in that little box, so we couldn't do that to her. Other than that, we liked it. We thought their activities were okay. We didn't think they were fabulous. We thought that the activities that they provided were so-so. They didn't offer arts and crafts, they didn't offer a lot of things that interested her. It seemed like it was more a little bit of exercise, they had games out that people could use and play or they could read but they didn't have a lot in the sense of activities. That was a little bit of a disappointmen too, but the grounds were nice. It looked very clean. I don't know what the food was like but they raved about their food. The woman we dealt with was very nice. She was very informative, answered all of our questions, and was very helpful in that way. I think that if it hadn't been for the room, we may have considered it.

I am a friend of a resident that lives at Christopher Heights in Webster MA. The facility is very, very nice and most of the staff is very nice. However, the food is abysmal. According to my friend, they have meetings regarding the horrible food, but nothing changes. The chefs need to remember that this is a facility for elderly people-complaints are that the food is too spicy, undercooked vegetables, not enough variety in the menu and the food quality is very low. I am not sure why such a beautiful facility inside and outside would be proud to serve such horrible meals to these seniors. Instead of upgrades in the lighting that is being replaced, it would behoove them to spend the money on some decent quality food or replace the chefs with a chef that understands the tastes and palate of seniors.

The food is terrible and the residents don`t eat what is served most the time. Christopher Height of Webster needs to hire a real cook because the cooks they have do not care what they serve our great older generation. Management should be involved and look how our elderly are being feed. Total unacceptable. Staff is good. But food is terrible. Management get involved

My mother is a resident her and finds that there are not enough quality activities. She finds that other than Bingo there are not enough interesting things to do to keep busy. The real complaint is the low quality of food and that it is mostly overcooked and by the time it is served, it is cold. The rent for this facility is pretty high, so one would think that at least the food would be better. I have been told by some of the other residents that the Charlton MA facility is much better and many people wish they had gone there. At my last visit there was a lot of grumbling among the residents. Needs some improvement!!!!

The facility is very nice and very clean. There are activities for the residents. The major complaint is the food. Very low quality and mostly overcooked. I find this appalling that my friend cant get a grilled cheese that isn't hard as a rock given the rent is between $6-7K per month.

My grandmother recently moved here and she loves it! The residents and staff are great. She used to be alone all the time and now there's always people around so it always feels very welcoming and homey. The reason I only rated it a 3 is because of the food. For the money you pay to live there and the great quality of living, the food is really low grade. I've been there to visit and actually eaten there and the food needs to be upgraded and cooked better. Alot of the residents are unhappy with the food from what my grandmother has told me. I dont understand why they haven't done anything about it.

It’s excellent. The atmosphere is great; it’s bright and cheery. She’s very happy. They have a lot of activities going on every day. They have arts and crafts and take them places. It’s really great. She has her doors locked, but she has a key to get in and out. There’s a sign in button; she can’t be out in certain hours. If she’ll be late, they need to know. They have a kitchen and staff; they serve three meals a day. The food is great. There’s a cafeteria that’s like a dining area that they can go out and get snacks if they want. People are wonderful. The staff is very accommodating, and they really encourage social skills. She’s gotten much better ever since she’s been there. I would highly recommend it.
