I was there in January, 2024 for a knee injury. I received PT 1 out of 3 days I was there. I ended up signing myself out a nd hobbling out on my own. In my short stay there they withheld medications prescribed by my own doctors including pain medication! Their dieticians asked what kind of menu I would like and the kitchen then proceeded to serve the foods I had asked not to get. The place is filthy with insects crawling the floors of my rooms! I have been trying to fight a bill they sent me recently and cannot get anyone to return my calls.

If you or your family member are set up to go to rehab at this place RUN don't walk to another facility. I was just here for 6 weeks after a foot surgery for an infected foot and I do believe it was some of the WORST care I have EVER had in my life. This place also dropped to ball BIG time on aftercare.

Never, ever send anyone to this place. There were a few staff members that were helpful, but the rest, just awful...very rude and not helpful. Hope I never have to be in a place like this, I would rather die!

DO NOT send anyone that you care about to this facility! I could go on forever about the negative experience that I had with my mother, who passed away over the Summer. To start with, she was there for almost 8 weeks, and we were told repeatedly that they could not give her the Covid vaccine…seriously?? As a result, we could not visit my mother in her room, and they had to bring her out to visit us, with a very limited schedule. In addition, she went in there for rehab, and ended up being harnessed in and out of bed, basically because the staff felt it was too “difficult” to assist her…she went in there for rehab?? But the final straw was that she received hearing aides about a week after arriving. An order was issued to have someone put them both in and take them out because my mother had some dementia. Within a week, they had lost one, and by the time she was transferred to a hospital before passing, the other one had vanished as well! Please stay away from this place! I very much wish that we had moved my mother to a different establishment…awful experience!!😡

My husband spent a month there and was delivered home without teeth and no feeding syringe was enclosed. Lower part of his body was covered with numerous bleeding untreated ulcers which he had not have before. It is very difficult to discuss simple matters with the administrative staff. They want to pull as much money from you as possible. Do not send your relatives there. Due to Covid 19 I was not inside and can't comment on the premises and food.

This facility is NOT SAFE for defenseless patients. Some nurses appear wonderful, others are incompetent. Mom was left with empty O2 tank. her O2 was not monitored properly, she was not given medication appropriately and family was NOT notified when she was unresponsive and sent to hospital alone. Instead of packing up her belongings like family asked, her things were picked over and now missing. BEWARE. Patients who can not feed themselves will miss meals unless family is there.

Staff is unprofessional rude And hard to work with. Especially on the 200 unit where most of the staff has been employed for a while The facility obviously has no training or obviously doesn’t speak to the staff on how to communicate effectively with families and outside contractors That come to the facility very unwelcoming and very unhappy with the service I was provided here

Understaffed, Not clean, smelled of poop and pee. 2 people covering 30 people. No thanks. So glad my sister was able to take my mom home and care for her. Too bad, because the understaffed people there feel bad about coverage. Meal time was never consistent.

I never wanted to go to rehab. Being a younger guy I was concerned. It wasn't fair for my family to take care of me in the condition I was. I agreed to go to Harrington. My room was great w/ Satelite TV. They let me use a laptop the whole time I was there. The food was great & the chef visited me several times. Most of my therapy was outside under the patio. I was amazed at my progress & so was my family. My nurses motivated me, especially Brenda. I went home sooner than everyone thought. Thank you. PD

I was very concerned with the conditions found when I visited a relative at this facility. I arrived at lunch time and observed the lack of quality of the food. If this was served in a correctional facility the inmates would be filing a claim for cruel and unusual punishment. My relative refused the food and no attempt was made to find her something edible. The family has been bringing in her food so she has some nutrition. I was there for several hours - by 2:00 in the afternoon she was still in the same position in bed, not dressed, no therapy had been provided - which surprised me as she was there for rehab.

My mother-in-law refused to go to rehab until her doctor told her she had to. Expecting a marginal experience, we were amazed to find how much she enjoyed her stay at Harrington. The therapists were so creative in their exercises she didn't consider it work. The nurses were kind and considerate. She had several friends who visited her who couldn't believe how nice and clean and facility was. We are thrilled to have her home, but if she ever needs rehab again we would only consider Harrington.

Not the worst I have seen. Night staff could have been far better. Lack of care for residents. Under staffed at the time. I don't think that the rules are the best for the residents as there is no snacks in the fridge at night for the ones that get up, they are put in bed to early and then told to rise far to early due to lack of morning staff to get them up. I know that the "Patient rights" are posted in the front as you walk in but most of the residents don't know what their rights are. And often when they say they don't want to get up are made to anyways. with the logic that the patient doesn't know what they want. So if they have rights why can't they can't they enforce the?

My mother was a resident at the Harrington House before I had her moved to another facility. They were great with everything when she first got there, but shortly after the charm wore off and the neglected to inform me of room changes, falls, and upcoming appointments.
