My husband is at Lydia Taft House. I was impressed with it. It was a home-like atmosphere, and I think there are only 53 beds in it, unlike other ones that had 180 beds and are chaos with multiple people in the hallways. Lydia Taft House is under control. The people are out of their rooms, and they have programs for them. People can play cards, and they have other games that they play. It looks like they keep people active. My husband's room is very sunny and very warm. It has a very big, beautiful picture window that overlooks the backyard. They have a bird feeder, and he loves to watch the birds. The staff seems very attentive. I have been there five or six times now. I never smelled urine, and that is good. That is my criteria.
