Recently, I had an incident requiring rehabilitation. I agreed to go to a rehab center. We chose Longmeadow, based upon a tour of the website. Now, I am home and more than pleased with my experience there. First, it is clean. There is no odor, none of that underlying odor that is only masked by powerful disinfectants.. It is clean. Second, admin staff are competent and considerate. I was treated as a client, not a patient, which is a good thing since I have never been patient. Third, the OT and PT staff are professional, motivated and effective. After three weeks, I am 90% back and climbing. Fourth and last, too much food... The kitchen is very responsive to special requests. Breakfast was always good, but lunch is generally a full meal. There are always alternatives for lunch and dinner. I asked the kitchen to make salads, rather than the big lunch. Salads were fresh, flavorful and ample. All in all it was a very positive experience and time well spent.

I attempted to visit one afternoon. I was told by the admittance office clerk that she was “busy” and had a hair salon appointment that she couldn’t miss. She dismissed me by waving her hand towards the door and indirectly suggested that I look at another place down the street! Wow ! Not what I expected! Very disappointed!

My disappointment started before I arrived at the door. I had left several messages for a woman in the admitting office. She would return my call and tell me she was busy and needs to call me back. My mother was brought to this facility without my knowledge. The admitting woman had my phone number incorrect and was arguing with me when. I tried to tell her that it was wrong. Very unprofessional!

I am taking the time to write this review about Long Meadow of Taunton because I have been so pleased with the wonderful care they have been extending to my mom. I feel the activities directors do a fantastic job they're constantly happy, always kind, and very caring to all the residents. I have personally witnessed them make sure all the residents in the dining room don't do not dine alone, they always sit down and have a nice chat with them while enjoying thier meal. These ladies work very had and seem to go above and beyond to be sure to provide a warm welcoming feeling to all residents and their extended family members who visit and spend time with their family members! The kitchen Staff staff is very kind while serving in the dinning room, they provide a dinning out feeling, and serve very-good meals! The nursing staff has been excellent, always willing to take the time to answer any of my questions. They have been providing great care. The CNA's that I have personally encounter have been excellent! They do their very hard job well, at the same time treating the patients with respect. The sweet lady who runs the laundry always has a kind word as she enters the rooms to put the laundry away. Everyone from administration to the wonderful receptionist who always greets you with a smile and is so gracious to help with holding to the door. Plus to answer any question you may have, then direct you to the right department. Our experience thus far has been a very positive one!

I had my father at Longmeadow of Taunton, where he received excellent rehab and nursing care. The staff was very attentive to all of his medical and personal needs and he always had his meds on time. The rehab staff went above and beyond to rehab my father after his hip replacement. He left there to go home like a new man. The activities kept him engaged and socializing where he did not even have enough time to dwell on his illness. I would highly recommend this rehab facility, especially compared to the others I visited locally prior to making our decision for Longmeadow

My relative was here and almost died due to lack of oxygen that the nurses put off as being anxious. The team approach is non existent. The administrator kelly, is only out for the money, she does not care about the residents. Nursing director Thea is terrible to her employees, screams at them for no reason with door wide open, the former rehab manager Michele took all the credit for the patients success although she didn't lift a hand with their care, I also noticed she was terrible behind her employees backs. The social work was a joke, miserable. Not one friendly face on the managers of the departments. One day a nurse was nodding off in my family members team meeting. It was disgusting. Never ever put your family member here.

I was a resident at Longmeadow of Taunton in January thru March. Very happy and satisfied with care and cleanliness of facility. Social Workers were extremely helpful, Nursing and CNA staff were attentive. The Administrator even answered my call light. I would return here in a heartbeat. Thanks you for such a pleasant experience.

I work in the home care setting and have a family friend who I visit at this home who was short term that decided to stay and make this place her home. The staff are so caring towards her and knowledgable. I have heard things about this home and was apprehensive for her, but the nursing staff is great and the c.n.a's really seem to know the patients there. Also the facility is super clean. I love seeing how happy this sweet woman is eventhough she couldn't stay in her own home. Very impressed.
