The rooms are on the smaller side, but the housekeeping staff keep everything so clean. Each room has its own bathroom, and rooms are regularly inspected. The food is good and all of the staff were great. We spoke with someone from laundry who was very knowledgeable and was treating all of the residents like family. It was very reassuring to see people like that working there. We had an issue with something in the room and maintenance came in right away and fixed it. Overall we are very pleased at the care being provided and would strongly reccomend.

Most appear to be caring. Some nurses are incompetent and could not tell when a life threatening event occured, requiring the need for transport to the hospital. Some caregivers are cruel, most are nice. Food is good. Rooms are clean. Everyone is overworked due to staffing shortages which I believe could be rectified by paying better wages

My mom was at New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home, Inc. They were very good because it was during COVID and I was not allowed to go in, so they kept me informed of everything that was going on and kept me step-by-step of the care that they were giving her. I was very happy with the care. It's very clean, and the people that work there are very professional, very friendly, and very caring. They keep patients' care up to date with families. They're very good. There was a variety of food, it was always warm, and it was edible. My mom enjoyed it. The rooms were clean. The service was fantastic. She ended up with a blood clot in her arm, and they had to bring in a surgical unit staff to take care of it, and they did a very good job with her.

New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home, Inc is a smaller nursing home. The rooms were smaller, and it's strictly a nursing home. They were very nice. The people there were very nice, and the woman there (who is the director) answered all our questions. I know some other people who have had family members that have been there. I have a friend now that has a family member there, and they are very pleased with it, the service, the compassion, and caring that the staff gives their family members. They have a dining room. They are not using it because of Covid. The residents all eat in their bedrooms. They had a group of residents. I'm not sure what they were doing there in a room, where they're just having a conversation or whatever. They have a cafeteria, and they mentioned, of course, all their food is kosher. Definitely their diet is different from other places. They didn't have bathrooms in the rooms, it was centrally located. I would really hate to give it a score because it's a different kind of environment. It's an older facility and homes were smaller, that's for sure. They didn't have bathrooms in the rooms. The bathrooms were more centrally located, but they say it was clean. I will definitely say it was very clean. Nursing homes tend to sometimes have an odor, but I do not find that at all. The people were very nice. I didn't really go into the bedrooms. We just peeped in because we didn't want to invade anyone's privacy. The room was smaller, but it is an older facility and that accounts for a lot of that. The staff was wonderful, and she answered our questions.

Ok so I live in Florida and I have not personally visited the favility so keep that in mind. My Grandfather is currently a resident in the alzihmer's unit here. This morning when I woke up I was told by another family member that my grandfather is Septic now from a infection he has had for a bit now. So ok he's 90 and not in great shape so I can understand jow that happened to some extent but then I'm told that he is also largely dehydrated and mayb be being transferred to the hospital. Now this is a person who has had a fever, has COPD and a chest infection for a little while now on top of Alzhimers, I do not at all understand how he could end up being something as simple as becoming dehydrated. This tells me that he is not getting his needs met by the staff. Yes he can become frustrating and may not have the ability to do much of anything but the whole reason he's there is so he is taken care of. If I was ok with him being neglected I would have gotten with my family and had jim put in his own apartment. We are paying cash for him to be there and now he may be dying because of lack of attention? This isn't tje first time I have seen this place not care for him but it hasn't been a life threatening situation until now. IF YOU HAVE THE CHOICE, CHOOSE OTHERWISE ON FAVILITIES. Patient care should not be performed based on a favorites style system of practice 😔

Some staff is good but the majority are just collecting their paychecks. Food was kosher but bland and not very good. Senior staff was rude and uncaring. Rooms are small and people are noisy. Sleep is hard to get.

My grandmother was a resident at this nursing home. The facility was very nice. They had a beautiful garden that you could sit in, as well as a nice patio. For the colder days, they had a lovely sitting room right across from the reception desk with a TV and fresh coffee. All the nurses and staff were very nice and gave my grandmother the best quality of care possible.

I think this Nursing Home is great. All the nurses and administrative staff is really nice, and the residents seem really happy. They have a small room across from the reception desk with couches and chairs, so that family members can sit with their loved ones instead of cramming into the residents room. Family members can even eat with residents during lunch and dinner times. The facility also has a great rehabilitation center with the top-of-the-line machinery.
