I have to say with this awful pandemic the care for my mom has been wonderful. Dianne S. does a great job scheduling visits. Whenever I have called and I have to leave a message, Dianne always gets back with in the hour to answer any questions I may have. She also has done a great job scheduling visits so I can see my mom. I feel very fortunate that my mom is being well cared for.

If you go here for rehab-RUN! In my opinion, this place should not call themselves a rehab center. My relative was poorly treated here and died while in their substandard care of a late diagnosed systemic septic shock. Living locally in this area, it breaks my heart to pass by this place and feel the pain they have caused my family. A nonchalant attitude runs rampant here. Why they allow nursing homes to operate as rehabilitation centers is beyond apprehension! I do hope you accept this review as the above is an accurate depiction.

Is there a Zero number of stars you can leave? My mom was placed there for rehabilitative care after an illness. It was clear after only a day or two that this was not a rehab center as much as it is a nursing home. The majority of patients there are not rehab patients and lie in bed or sit in wheelchair all day. The staff do not care and do not want to make any effort to care for the patients. I was even warned about this fact from their own staff. I'm not even sure where to start but her health was far worse when she left than when after I got her out of there after 2 long weeks, than when she entered. And they do not want you transferring out of there. So this was another obstacle they liked to mess with. She had developed a minor bed sore from her prior hospitalization. It became a gaping deep wound while there. I had asked for 2 weeks...yes, 2 weeks to have it looked at. Another 'hack' doctor that cared for her while there didn't seem to know how to treat it. She also had a bad cough that went untreated. We found out only 2 days after she left that it was actually pneumonia. Any time I approached someone to discuss my Moms health I was met with opposition. I even had some 'rolling eyes' from staff nembers. They were disrespectful all along about every issue I had, I am releived and I'm so glad we got her out of there and I will never ever recommend this facility to anyone

The overall level of care was higher than the rehab hospital my friend was previously at !

When my Mom was hospitalized for a spinal fracture, she needed rehab and the outstanding reputation of River Terrace made it a clear choice. River Terrace is very professionally run –clean, good food, and well-equip with knowledgeable staff. My Mom received excellent nursing care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. But most importantly, River Terrace staff cares about the people they serve. Everyone was responsive, friendly, and incredibly compassionate towards my Mom. We are thrilled with the care she received.
