My mother-in-law moved into Susan Bailis Assisted Living. The facility is bright and welcoming. The people are very friendly. It is a nice place. The staff members are very helpful. My mother-in-law's room is very small, but sunny and modern. It's a one-bedroom. It seems like there are a lot of various activities for residents. They have a beauty salon, a library, a café, and a common room. My mother-in-law seems to really love the food. It's a beautiful building.

I went to see Susan Bailis Assisted Living and a nice person showed us around. It's in a wonderful neighborhood, it's very appealing to be in the city where they are. But the facility itself was tired-looking. They had a bit of a flood and there had been a bit of a fire, so they're fixing up some problems. The rooms were small, the furniture was tired-looking, and some of the residents sort of looked like they came from the homeless shelter. The feeling when you come into an assisted living place, if you belong to that group of people, there were decidedly people around that looked like they could have been on a street corner. It is in downtown Boston, so the rooms were very small, you can't expect the rooms to be palatial. It's appropriate to be considered for city-dwelling. The couple of residents that we spoke to were happy there, were higher-level functioning and they were staying within their own neighborhood, which pleased them. Their activity level was terrible, they had an art activity that looked like kindergartners to me. They had cut out trees like Christmas trees, and they were sticking balls on a tree. That might have worked in a memory unit, but for assisted living, it's appalling to me.

I visited Susan Bailis. That place was to die for with a cute setup. The room was a one-bedroom with a living room. The people were very nice. The sitting area was very quaint, and it smelled good in there. It’s a fairly new place. The staff was excellent, especially the woman at the front door. They had underground parking, so visitors could stay as long as we want. I love it.

A friend of mine recommended us to visit Susan Bailis. I think their environment is pretty good. The rooms are clean and nice. The place is almost brand new. I think she is comfortable over there and she is not feeling lonely; so that is good. I would just like to suggest that they need to offer some training for the residents like sewing activities.

I like Susan Bailis Assisted Living Community quite a lot. The best thing about this place was the fact that it is in the city and I like that. The building was all very good. The staff that I met was very nice as well. I did try the food and it was also quite good.
