My good friend lived in the Assisted Living facility at Providence House for about two years before needing memory care. Providence House was a wonderful, caring community. The nurses, aides, director, and staff were all wonderful and treated my friend with care, dignity and respect. She loved the many daily activities, her room was comfortable and clean with good light pouring in the windows. We were able to add amenities (laundry, extra help, etc.) seamlessly. I also appreciated the care we received as friends. PH staff were compassionate and lovely to deal with. I'm forever grateful to them.

The main receptionist shows phenomenal insensitivity to resident religion and ethnicity. Shouting at residents is common. Some on the nursing staff try at times. But too many are disrespectful of residents and overbearing. Much of the executive staff seems to be in hiding. very costly, considering lack of services and activities. They don’t live up to their promises .avoid if you can and love your loved one.

Quality care is greatly diminished. Admission policy changes have created an unsafe environment, including excessive drug use among some residence and drunkenness. Meals and activities are subpar.

I moved into Providence House Assisted Living. What I like best is the people that live here, and the fact that they get together, and that enjoyment. What I like least is I don't like the apartment that I'm in because it has all the same problems that my house had. And part of the reason for giving up my house was to give up the problems, and I didn't give them up. I just transferred them to another place. The staff, some of them are very good, and some of them suck. They offer activities like movies, bingo, Jeopardy, that type of thing, but nothing outside the building. There's no trips that I know of. There haven't been since I've been here, and everything they do is specific to being here. My room is comfortable in size. Not too big, but not too small either.

I liked Providence House Assisted Living. It was bright, and it was accessible. There was parking there. The staff was very nice. It's very clean. I was surprised by how bright it was. It didn't feel like a nursing home. They had things for the people to participate in. They have transportation if you don't have a car to go shopping three times a week. There are studios and apartments. They have a hair salon. They were playing Wheel of Fortune. They have tons of puzzles, and they have a library. Providence House is my favorite.

I was able to visit Providence House, and the experience was very positive. It has a steel feel to it. No frills. I met their marketing personnel. I had lunch there, and the food was excellent. I have now decided to move there. The atmosphere also I felt that I fit in the place. I received their full package of information, and I was impressed with the scope of the activities available. The staff was very responsive.
