The Skybridge at Town Center - The Arch was very nice when I first arrived here. It is brand new, but there are quite a few building defects that we are trying to get them to fix. Our appliances are brand new, and we have a beautiful lounge on the second floor. It has a beautiful and very comfortable rooftop. We're close to the shopping centers and the University of Maryland Capital Hospital. What is very disappointing is right at the very beginning, they have a lot of building defects. Some of the ceilings were falling. They still had some problems with brand-new appliances - the washing machines, the dryers, and the dishwasher. We were not given any type of manual that comes with the new appliances so that we could fix it. We did not have a social director, so we have not had any activities here this year for independent residents. The most important thing is the lack of communication, the lack of warmth, and the lack of community. We're not treated well at all and we are ignored like we don't live here. The staff here is inconsiderate, uncaring, unfeeling, and condescending, except for the maintenance. The maintenance men are very nice to us and they are very friendly. They need to have people here who are trained. They had one good staff when we first moved in. She was very caring. She was the one that was selling the apartments, took us around, and showed us all the different models. She gave us a cognitive test and asked us questions about our memory. She was very kind to us and very friendly, but they fired her 3 months after she was here. Meals are not included and we have to pay for indoor parking and utilities. We also don't have a pool here.
