My mom is in Citizens Care and Rehabilitation, so everything is fine. She hasn't been there that long, but we have no issues with them. They keep in contact with me if there are any issues or questions they have about her. I'm not sure how the other nursing homes run, but it's always good to know that they are keeping an eye on my mom, and you don't have to be there 24/7. The room is fine. They've got a nice place set up for all the residents. Regarding activities, they have something for them every day like bingo or they have somebody come in and sing. They have a nice program set up.

We have decided on Citizens Care and Rehabilitation. We have put in an application for my mom. There's a 3- to a 6-month waiting period, so we're going to wait. I like that they would get my mom for every meal. The person who gave me the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. She answered all the questions. My mom would be in her own room. There are shared rooms, but they don't see the other person. You could bring your own things, which I like. They are pretty roomy, too. I didn't know about their activities because I know my mother would not participate. She can't see, so she wouldn't know. I know they'll try to get her to do things, but I just know my mother can't do anything, so I wasn't concerned about that. I saw one patient and she said she liked it there. I didn't see a lot of patients because they were all in their rooms and we didn't disturb them.

My father was in Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center, and they were very good. They were really good about getting back to normal -- as best as they could -- and setting up window visits. Then they finally had tent visits where you could go for a half an hour. The hardest part was that he was quarantined to his room most of the time. He was in rehab from being sick in the hospital. They were great, and the staff was very helpful and informative. They helped with different things on a daily basis, from visits to getting him transportation, because he had to go to a couple of doctors appointments. They had good food. The facility seemed very neat, organized, and clean, and they're very careful about COVID; they did a good job with that.

I was a client 6/6/19-7/28/19 Fractured hip My first days were difficult and apparently I wasn't very pleasant. Once I was in less pain I was quite happy to be there. My room was spacious, clean and had a lovely view of the garden. The staff were nearly all pleasant and worked very hard. The night staff was a little harder to get to know, but I did get to be friendly with one. The physical and occupational therapist were cheerful and enthusiastic. I LOVED therapy. I knew it would get me home! The food was OK. I loved the soups and only ate the proteins. Breakfast I had yogurt and fruit. The fruit was fresh and good. The patience the staff needs to have dealing with so many people in pain, afraid and grumpy made me realize how lucky I was that they were so patient with me.

Terrible experience. The night crew were rude and nastey. A Janaxan boy came into my room and kept knocking into my bed like he was trying to annoy me on purpose. The so call food was awful. I could not eat it. The day staff were not that paying attention to patient either. Thank the Lord I was able to go home. The place is a level away from being thought as a funeral home.

The rooms were cleaned and straightened daily. The staff from housekeeping to therapists were always helpful and respectable. always showed respect and helpfulness and always respectful of my needs. most important they were always good natured and good company. I would have been proud to call any of them my friend. All activities in which i participated were either help or enjoyable. The classes while sometimes seemed difficult were perfectly suited to my needs. The staff were always cheerful and helpful. I was actually a bit sad to part with them. I would have been happy and proud to all any of them my friend. As far as amenities, what can i I say? the food was always scrumptious and served happily. The housekeepers were all very pleasant, as were the nurses and all the aides. In short I am very glad was accepted as a patient there. Once again my thanks and appreciation to the staff and facility at Citizens.

The majority of the staff have been friendly, respectful and very good at communicating with family. They have wonderful activities directors and offer many varied activities for the residents. The rooms and common areas although not 'home-like' are always clean.

Citizens Care is a very nice, clean place, but I didn't like the staff. They felt the need to give my husband sedatives because he was combative. The staff wasn't always truthful. However, the rooms were very nice.

HI, as a frequent visitor of a Resident of Citizens Nursing Home in Frederick Md, the Care was outstanding, and each patient is treated with respect and dignity, however there are some persons who there is no pleasing, for example they think that others should be neglected for their loved one to be catered to right away always, with no though of fairness to the staff or other residents. who also needs care and attention constantly. If you couldn't handle your Loved one yourself be grateful that there are those who have this calling or vocation and try with all kindness to do their very best for all our elderly.

I did have my father in Citizen Care, and I actually got them cited for such a bad place. The worst part of it was they never answer the call for my father. He would have to use the telephone to call the nurse's office. Or he would call me to call the nurse's office. They were mean to him. The nursing supervisor came on board with this because they were acting on how he got bruised up. They told him it was from the nursing staff pushing him around. I think they were expecting somebody to dump their parent off there and weren't going to check. Like I said, I wrote in to Medicare and told them what happened. They cited the facility. It was clean if you want to say that much. But most of the staff is not very appealing. Because of the fact when you ask something, they will be on the defensive. Not all of them, but most of them.
