I moved to Vantage Point from NY to be near my son and his family. I toured several independent living facilities in the area and chose Vantage for several reasons. Some are: Friendly, helpful staff Large airy apartments The highrise doesn't require me to go outside for activities or meals. My pets were welcomed I was able to chose my apartment updates The residents are diverse and welcoming. I have been her almost 2 years and have found that Vantage is well-run, has excellent activities and I am glad I am here.

We saw Residences at Vantage Point. The independent living was great. The assisted living felt like a hospital. If mom needed to go into assisted living, I would prefer she went someplace else. They seemed like hospital rooms, like people who were really invalid, and that's not my mom. They have a library where you can check out books, all the typical activities, movies, book groups, selling groups, dancing, and physical activity, and they support a lot of the arts. They have groups that go into Baltimore that will go to the Symphony and things like that.

Residences at Vantage Point is right near the Columbia Mall. It was very outdated and the rooms were very small. We only had interaction with the marketing director, she was very nice. They had a list of activities, but we didn't see anything, we just took a tour of the facility. The staff was very polite and professional. The place was clean but everything we saw there was just very old and outdated.

Vantage House has independent living, assisted living, and a nursing home facility. My mom will have a bracelet on at all times, so if there's an emergency, the staff will be able to assist her immediately. The facility also has an in-house doctor and nurses as well as an in-house audiologist for hearing loss and hearing aids. My mom is going into the independent living section, so right now, she'll only have dinner served to her. She will make her own breakfast and lunch, but the residents do have three meals.

Very nice premises. Ample facilities on-site, from banks to hair salons. Seemed very clean, staff also seemed very friendly. The facility is very large and has ample parking. They have a lot of activities for seniors, and residents seem to be very happy at the facility.Management mentioned that they were nearing capacity. The initiation fees to move in are VERY expensive -- definitely out of most peoples' price range. They seemed a bit pushy about signing up.The rooms were large and amply furnished. Overall I would rate it positively. In the end, we ended up looking elsewhere for my aunt. It was a bit too far south of Baltimore for us, and family would be visiting regularly. It also seemed very expensive compared to comparable facilities, although the friendliness and courtesy of the staff may make up for that. For those south of Baltimore, however, it is conveniently located near I95. Easy to get to, wooded around the facility. Excellent views for residents.
