Rooms were old and needed updating . Disappointed. Nursing care was not the best. Patient would be left in soiled diapers and bedding more than once and changed when family has arrived to visit. I showed up unexpectedly and saw this . Most nurses were very nice and others were not. The facility basically was more concerned with keeping patients there and collecting all their social security and any retirement they had an insurance.

Having my husband at Hammonds Lane Center has been a fair experience. There are some staff who would do everything for you and are completely caring, while there are others that don't seem to care and are not in a hurry to come help you or anything. He seems to be enjoying the food though and the facility itself looks nice. It's not really upscale, but it's normal. It's kept very clean and they have something going on a couple of times every day. They have music, bingo, and all different kind of activities; like today they had bowling.

The visit to the Greens was very good, and I was very impressed with the facility. The staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The apartments were very nice; the one I looked at was a single bedroom, and it was very spacious. It was very clean and very quiet.

Most of the staff seem like they're not interested in the patients needs when they need assistance. This place was recommended by a hospital for physical therapy and not once has my mother received any. They take the patients clothes and end up giving you someone else's clothes to wear. Trying to get answers for the concerns I had was like pulling teeth trying to speak with someone. Definitely will not allow anymore family members to go here.

I did not like the way Hammonds Lane Center was set up. There were too many employees leaning around the desk when I went in. The rooms were too small, and the halls were too full of random things. To me, it was depressing.

My grandmother is in Genesis (Hammonds Lane Center), which was a suggestion from the hospital. The staff are very good and are taking really good care of her. The rooms are fine. She is in a two-person room, but she has been by herself. The dining room is really big. The last time I went, they had someone from the church come in.

Mom has been in Hammonds Lane Center since August. I’m happy with it. I like the fact that they have plenty of nurses and aides in there. They constantly come up and talk to them. Whoever comes down the hall, management or whatever, they know all the people by name, they hug them, and they talk to them. It’s pricey, but not bad. They had bingo. There are church services. They have sing-along. They have people come in and sing. They have motion activities to get up, and they can use their hands in some motion-type things. They have an activity director there. My mom doesn’t have a lot of movability in her hands, but we were talking about getting her around people even if she doesn’t participate in activities. She told me she likes it there, and she doesn’t want to leave.

I didn't like the way Hammonds Lane kept their patients, and I didn't like the way they kept the place. I just didn't like it. The good thing about it was they did have activities. They had daily activities, and they had a nice schedule of activities. It would be a nice building and everything, if it wasn't for the smell. Their location was nice; there was a senior center probably a half mile down the road from where they were located. In Brooklyn they have a lot of stores and things like that, and it has little places where you could sit and eat, if they want to take them places. They had both the Rite Aid and the Walgreens down there; they were right across from each other.
