Very pleased with the attention and care that was given to my father. He interacted very well with the other residents and the staff treated him kindly.

The food at the Maine Manor Assisted Living was definitely good. However, they did not have activities for the residents. It's not that they couldn't, they just didn't, and they made excuses. They had plenty of ambulatory people and only had two people that needed assistance in that house. So, everyone else was independent. I put my father in there because they had a nice and bright front room for my dad. The light coming in was very nice, with multiple windows and spacious areas, but at one point they moved my dad out of that room to a small, dark back room by the bathroom, and never asked my approval for that. Some valuable jewelry, and things that were to be handed down to my brother and his child, just disappeared too. I asked for a care plan from the owner and also told him that he should not have moved my father from that front room, but he got really angry about it, and he decided to put my father out during a pandemic and said they could no longer handle him.

My mother moved into Maine Manor Assisted Living. I was familiar with the location. They toured the place and took pictures for my mother. The owner of the facility came to our home on that same day, sat down, spoke with us, met with my mother, and evaluated her level of care. He was able to transport her the very next day. I visited her daily before the lockdown. She did not complain about the food. The living quarters are on the second and third floor, and the first floor is the lobby, community room, and kitchen. They have chairlifts to get to the other floors, but I wish some of the private rooms could be on the first floor.
