This is Ethel M. Abrims, a former patient of future care Coldspring. During my stay, I wish to express my gratitude to the beautiful women at future care that work diligently with me; in occupational and physical therapy. Starting with Catherine, Bridget, Amy and Elizabeth they work with me so faithfully and I thank God for each one of them. Then, of course there was Miss Constance who constantly had a charming word and uplifting words for us each day and offered her support and guidance where needed. Bria always lending a helping hand to the elderly and I was just so happy and just so thankful that my stay with occupational and physical therapy was quite successful. I'm at home now and I'm doing well. Again, I love you, I thank you and I appreciate all that you've done for me and what you're doing for others God-bless you all, thank you. Have a Great New Year.

I'm at Future Care Coldspring. I am in a double room. I used to be in a single room for a long time until the administrator took me out of there. When COVID came, he said I would go back to a single room and he lied. A lot of people here are from an agency, but they don't give us the proper care that we need. I'm supposed to be walking twice a week, but the girl never comes to take me walking. They give us the medications. The facility is nice, but they need new curtains and blinds, and some of them are all messed up. The food is not good at all. We have activities like bingo and karaoke and sometimes they do our nails. I don't have a problem with the activities. Some of the staff people here are permanent, but a lot of them are from the agency, and we don't see the same people every day. They have movies. The price depends on how much money you make.

This place is great. My husband was a resident for around 6 weeks in long term care, before he passed away. He was very well taken care of. They kept us notified if he took even the smallest fall. They treated him with respect and decency, which made the family who was unable to see him in person due to Covid feel better. He never complained about anything there. When we asked to be on a zoom call during their team meeting about his progress they were very accommodating and very responsive to our questions. This is a fantastic place and would recommend it to anyone in need.

I've been staying here at Futurecare Coldspring for a while, and the entire staff has been okay to me. Some are particularly nice, and do a lot of extra work to keep the residents happy. I get along well with the other residents and I enjoy the social environment here. I have physical therapy everyday, so I've be improving quickly. I'd recommend this location especially because of the onsite rehab program which is really beneficial

I've been at FutureCare Coldspring for over two years. My experience has been fair. I like developing a relationship with the nurses and aids, which I've done with most. It makes it a much more comfortable living environment. I love the church services. The therapy is helpful, but I'm 89 so its in gods hands. The care and staff are good here though.

The staff at Coldspring is very good to the residents, and the other residents are very nice and easy to get along with. It's a pretty good social environment. PT is very nice, and they teach me a lot that I didn’t know. Because of it, I've been making definite improvements. I’d tell anyone it’s a nice place to go and the people are friendly, so if you're looking around for a place like this, I'd recommend futurecare.

I moved into to futurecare in November, and they’ve been pretty good to me since I've been here. The staff gets what I need right away and I like the residents. I’ve done the physical therapy and it’s been good and I’ve been making improvements, to my health. I couldn’t walk when I first got here, and now I am able to for the most part. The food is good, especially the barbecue chicken, it’s the bomb. Everything has been pretty good overall. I recommended my aunt to come here cause she has some health problems. She would’ve been great here. They keep your nails done too which is nice. I'd love to have more cookouts outside now that the weather is nice, but other than that I can’t complain.

I’ve been here at Futurecare Cold Spring since October of 2018. The staff has treated me very well. Arielle, from the morning shift, and Grace and Abdul in the evenings (all GNA's), always respond to my calls almost immediately and they’ll do anything in their power to make you feel better. There are several nurses I like as well. I’m a picky eater, but the food is pretty good here. My room is always kept clean. It’s great that therapy is in the building, because you don't have to go out in the extreme cold or heat to get the necessary help. Activities are fun, but I just recently started doing them. I like the church services that are offered every Sunday. I’d definitely recommend considering Cold Spring if you're looking. My family doctor recommended it to me because his wife is here. It’s tough being away from home but it’s enjoyable being here. They always try to make you as comfortable as they can.

I’ve been here since 2013. At first the staff was rocky, because they didn’t know me, but now that I've been here for a while and gotten acclimated, its much better. I was unfamiliar, but the nurses and aids were very kind in easing me in and it got real good. Now everyone knows me and my needs. Grace the GNA, and Flaunt do a lot for me. Grace is my favorite though, she makes sure all my needs are met. Shannon in activities is the best!! She listens to you and never criticizes you. The food has improved, but it could be better. We get pies and cookies, which i love. I get the proper level of care and the physical therapy is great because they help with my specific needs. It’s the best part in my opinion. I love all the activities, bingo is really fun, and I would definitely recommend coming here if you need full time care.

Do not admit any patient that requires medical care. Drugs are as late as 6 hours late for a dose(due for 8AM and given After 2PM after caregiver intervention) Discharged Rx's were supposed to be for 3 days only written for one and one- half days. As result patient required to find a pharmacy that stocked all drugs on a weekend. List of discharged Rx's were misspelled The room telephone was not able to accept calls for 4 days and the clock battery needed replacing. The outside courtyard which had 4 signs saying no smoking facility had cigarette butts that had been for days

Although this nursing home is caring and considerate, the patient's phones are frequency our of order, notification of family is frequently not done, the floor with permanent residents stinks all of the time, the laundry ruins clothing with beach, and services to patients go unfilled unless family demands it.

I had some issues at Future Care Coldspring. Everything is wrong with the place. You have no linens; you need a blanket, and they don’t have any. You ask for a cooling gown to change the patient, and they search somewhere else and come back saying its clean but they didn’t get it off a linen cart; I don’t know where they got it from. As far as wound care, I don’t believe that they actually treat bed sores. They just put dressings to it, and they don’t really address the issue of wound care. They had some activities. They come and ask around, but my mother did not participate because of her health. They have to improve on identifying the staff. The staff walked around in jeans and street clothes. You cannot identify who is the aide, who is the nurse, who works there, or who doesn’t. The whole atmosphere of the place seemed unprofessional. That place is horrible.

My Great-Grandmother has been at Future Care Nursing home for about 4 months now. There was a huge family argument about turning her over to this facility because of some of the reviews we had been hearing about the place and they the residents were living. When I went to go visit my Great-Grandmother ,I sadly came to find out that most of the things that were said about the home were true. I will always remember how when I first walked in ,I could tell that no one was cleaning the place ,the smell was horrifing. You could also tell that the residents were unkept as well ,none of the men were shaven. For my Great-Grandmother ,I washed and combed her hair ,and gave her a bath. These were things that the nursing home said that they would do. Since then ,my family and I have been looking for a new facility for her.
